route 36 weekend trip

- I had the pleasure of taking the weekend off and riding up northern california with my buddies over at LnSpltBlvd. We rode hwy 36, rated one of the best roads in the US, hit the Avenue of the Giants and got to see the northern section of Hwy 1.
The duct tape and bungee strap on the tank... priceless! Totally real. 👊💥
I know I am real late to the video here, but I gotta throw my .02 in. These are the kind of rides where you learn A LOT. You learn about the brothers you are riding with, you learn about the horse you are on, and you learn what it means to be free. This looked like an amazing trip, you guys are super fortunate to have the type of brotherhood you do, it will last a lifetime and beyond.
These are the kinda guys Id be proud to share a road, a wrench, a ride and a beer with any day of my life. Keep the rubber side down brothers.
I like how these guys have fun and build bikes out of old Hondas or whatever brand of bike ,make them very cool on a budget and have the time of their lives that most people never get to experience! When I was a young man I did just this sort of thing with an old 63 triumph and my other buddies were on old ironhead sportsters which were cheap to build ! I'm glad that my triumph was such a good runner and so reliable compared to the old sportsters which were constantly breaking down but it was a learning experience for me when I bought a ironhead for myself so I could be cool too lol. Thank god my next bike was a 85 evo Harley fxr , great bike and reliable as hell ! I miss those times and friends and all the runs we all went on . now we still ride but are full of arthritis and some of us are gone but the memories last forever and the stories get a little bit twisted as time goes by. Totally agree started riding at 14 and stayed on a bike till I had a family. Job kids family and I hung it up. Now at 65 totally debilitated, can't even get on a bike. Glad I didn't listen to others and "be responsible " in my best years ,cause my golden years suck.

I am in the Philippines. Ist hard to imitate that kind of adventure in small county. Life is short the joy and happiness you make while riding is cannot buy by money.

Did a huge loop from Napa Valley around 36 back home. 550 plus miles one day 12hrs 2 up. Will take my time next time....greatest hwy for motorcycle ride I have ever been on. Been riding for 20 plus years.

Great video and cool bikes. This is what the bikes and bikers looked like 40 years ago. Now it's old guys on 25k bikes that have to run hide at the first sign of a cloud.
David Crary I don’t know if you were there forty years ago but I was 29 in 1978 an choppers were in but rats were definitely not!! Honda and English bikes were chopped , Harley was king, all of them were well bolted together , clean and super road worthy. A rat was looked down on. No way am I shiting on these bikes in the video, that’s what these guys want. Just that I hear rats referred to as old school and there is nothing further from the truth. I know young guys don’t know but to a old life long chopper builder and rider it’s an insult. If you are as old as me do you remember it different? I have my old picture albums as evidence.

I only know a handful of ride or die bikers (we had the term first, some rapper turned it into riding with your girlfriend) but as an ABATE member I appreciate all riders who help keep motorcycling alive. We all appreciate the older guys keeping the miles down and the chrome shiny on those new harleys, they'll last longer when we buy them used! 😊
David Crary . Dave that is the high side of the Harley craze all these non biker guy buying new Harleys there will be lots of old Harley’s for sale in 10 years ripe for chopping. Of course I’ll be 79 but if you really love choppers you’ll always be 19!!!!!!!!! CFL

I did those roads on a '15 FZ-07 in 2016. Couldn't imagine doing those curves on a chopper! I think you might want to buy some loc-tite and captive nuts which may reduce the need for duct tape and zip ties.

走ってると壊れちゃう。でも壊れるの解ってるから用意しといた補修道具でサッと補修してまた走り出す。たまには仲間と道具を共有して無いものは自分で有り合わせで作っちゃう。知識が無いと遠慮しちゃう様な生き方かも知れないけれど周りの仲間がシッカリとフォローしてくれるから心配ない。こんな仲間と出会いたかったぁ〜。
