Harmon Face Values has an entire line that's a dupe of Devacurl. You can't get it online though, you have to go to the actual store (I think it's called Lovely Curls). They also have a dupe of the B'Leave-In. Sally Beauty Supply also came out with a line that's a dupe of Devacurl.

I used them until I couldn’t anymore. Now the dupes are doing well for me now. I knew something was up when I would go to the beauty supply store and see a new line of products. The sign below the products said “Comparable to Deva curl original line”. Until now, I couldn’t figure out why that sign was worded that way but now I get it.

@@olivelime9493 Omg they are amazing!!! I've been using them for a few months when you use the shampoo work it in for a couple a minutes to give it time to work its magic it leaves my hair soo soft and moisturized that I almost dont need a conditioner after words its crazy.. I always shampoo twice in a row and the second time around makes it even better... I can honestly say its one of my all time favorite lines if not my favorite especially when my hair is craving a little more strength and protein.. And they have awesome ingredients so you don't have to worry about your hair falling out unlike toxic Deva Curl ingredients... I realized shea moisture was a good brand when I accidently sprayed the leave in conditioner in my eyes and was anticipating having to go run and flush my eyes out before I went blind but I just simply wiped my face and kept it moving then I realized wow they really must not use toxic chemicals in their products because under normal circumstances I would have messed my eyes up.. Im sure we've all been there were you accidently get soap or product in your eye and it feels like your eye balls are gonna melt away.. I hope Sheamoisture always sticks to using natural ingredients because I love their products my holy grail when all else fails and mind you I'm a recovering product junkie in remission.. 🤣🤣 And I also appreciate the fact that they usually score green with the Think App so I always feel safe using it on my children also.. I forgave Sheamoisture for that whole AD debacle only because their products work and are clean for the most part and they do support other businesses they made a mistake and learned DO NOT P*** off your core audience who built you up.. We all make mistakes move on is my motto.

Tray wow that made me excited to try, I’ll will be buying the shampoo soon. I currently use the Virgin coconut oil conditioner from them. I shampoo twice as well. I’ve had that problem where shampoos would dry my hair out even more on the 2nd wash. Some of the brands I’ve used have some good products while the rest of there line is full of silicone and sulfates, such as Aunt Jackie. I use their flaxseed gel and I wanted to try more from their line, but I found out that most of their products have silicones in it. I was luckily enough to be using one of the only products of theirs that was clean. I’m not on the kNow with the Shea moisture Ad thing, what happened?

It would be super helpful to have the dupe products listed or if you added a caption in when presenting a product in the video. The Amika product is it the curl cream or gel that you are recommending?

I use low Poo delight and condition. Then the arc gel. It’s been amazing for my curls. I’ve just heard about the issues with deva curl. I’ve been using them for a year no issues.

I actually have experienced something, it wasn't necessarily "damage", it was more like tons and tons of hair loss, i've actually had some almost bald spots in my hair and i'm only 15. It hurts to say that from my experience I officially stopped using Devacurl and it actually took me a WHILE to stop using DevaCurl because I really wanted curls and it didn't even matter much if I had less hair, all I wanted was curls, and that's SUPER unhealthy. I also noticed that my scalp started itching a lotttt. I didn't know what it was exactly but i had a HUGE feeling it was DevaCurl. Luckily, I have been taking hair vitamins since I think the ends of February and I have noticed more hair growth, thank God! I've been doing daily scalp massages and taking hair growth vitamins and I have fuller hair now! There still are some spots that are thinning and I still have some bald-ish spots, but I'm trying my best to take a bit more care of my hair! I wish everyone the best of luck in their healthy hair journey! 💗

I never ended up using Deva Curl because of the price. Once I got an ad from Ulta that it was on sale, the tea had started to spill so I didn’t buy it. I have been using Maui’s curl creme and Miss Jessie’s Jelly Soft Curls for about 7 months now. I can use just the gel in more humid places and my hair looks great but have to use the creme with the gel where I live now, which is dry to me. There is some humidity in the air here but not 100% like where I lived most of my life and still visit. Some say they don’t like it but I’ve tried other creams and gels, even the Not Your Mother’s, and don’t like them. Not Your Mother’s used to have a curl creme that I liked but they discontinued it and I don’t like the new Curl Talk one. :/ I have 2B/2C hair. If I switch my products then I end up with 2B frizz

so ayesha in her devacurl video mentioned the app, think dirty and how the curl Dr recommended looking up Devacurl on there. i have now been using this to try and find options that are better for me since Devacurl is listed pretty high on their scale of "dirty" products. Not your mothers is up there too, which i was surprised to find out. Shea moisture is one of the few i found that was real low.

Stephanie Lalley I was going to ask about this because I have celiac but noticed what I had been using also has it in it. I started having effects again last June and that was right before I started using it, if I recall. I hope it’s not causing an issue 😳 I’ve heard controversial comments on using it vs not using it in beauty products with celiac (which I know is not an allergy).

Never had a problem with Deva, but I switch brands frequently and wash my hair with suds. When you have high porosity hair you cannot wash with something like No Poo and nothing else. A lot of this whole issue was due to user error and ignorance, possible allergy as well, because no one has ever mentioned any particular ingredient or ingredients that were the supposed “culprits.” Their products worked too well and people couldn’t stop using them. It even says in the CGM book to switch off products and brands.
