I was under the impression if you bought a car with the intention of flipping it then you pay tax on the profit, which would explain the 'well I didn't really want to sell the lotus but ..ok ' I would take financial/legal advice before anyone watching this launches into a new career as a car flipper

Not familiar with the UK but in the US you'd still have to pay taxes. Capital gains taxes are for investments here, you still have to pay earned income tax on any goods or services you sell that turn a profit.

Common people give it a Like and push the algo. Usually from my long time of watching videos in CZcams LOL, you get 10% in likes from total views. Nice insight for someone like me who hopes one day to snatch one of these without being a VIP so I'll beat the customer end rather than buy and sell immediately.

If you look at it from a realistic point of view majority of people wont own cars like these its always seems like to make serious money you need to have serious money in the first place which majority of people dont have

To clarify cars are exempt from Capital Gains Tax (as they are a wasting asset). However, If you buy and sell cars too frequently, with the intention of making a profit, HMRC may deem that you are ‘trading’. As a result, HMRC will tax any profit that you make as if it were income (taxes 20%-45%).

Problem with selling private it is most people need finance, so that why people can by from dealers, and security that the car is straight
