I lost my wife in a road traffic accident in 2014 she was only 36.When I went back to work after it all had happened I heard this song on the radio I'd never heard it before and thought it was beautiful. 6 years on from then it takes me back to a terrible time but its still as beautiful.
I don’t normally post but this song broke me into tears. For the past 7 months I’ve been battling major Nuerological issues including tremors, muscle atrophy and extreme exhaustion. No answers yet….still wouldn’t change anything because my girls (8 and 5) are the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. It is indeed a beautiful war.
Don't know how I missed this but when I came across it a few days ago it was exactly what I needed to hear at the exact time! Just when you think these guys can do no better, BAM!, there they are, doing it! This version of this song makes the original sound hollow, immature, soul less and just awful. KOL stole this from Selena, made it their own by making it PERFECT. Damn these guys!! 😀❤️🤩

This song reminds me of my freshman year of high school. I really liked this girl I met in my theatre class, but she had a boyfriend. I was cool with him tho and me n her became friends. She broke up w him a little while later and that’s when I made my move on this girl. We were talking and enjoying each other and then she got with this guy who’s hated me since middle school + they got together behind my back. This guy already knew that we’re were friends and then got comfortable with each other after her and her ex broke up so he bragged about it to my face. One day he was talking about how I was never going to talk to her again and that my life I pictured with her was over. Yelling at me. I snapped, got up off my char and hit my first punch. It escalated and he hit back and at one point I just started swinging for my life cause I fought for this girl. Actually she ended up crying that day, but I showed what I had to show. Recently now I went through a messed up breakup with a girl I was proud to call my lover in life and this song just takes me back to when I really fought everything I had for a girl on a guy I hated. Making me think that I can fight for this relationship I want back, not fighting anyone obviously. But fighting for that relationship making it obvious that I care and that I’m not giving up on it and putting everything I have to it still, making it a beautiful war and learning from my mistakes in freshman year so it’s not a war, it’s a beautiful war. This song gives me that strength for that thank you!❤

I think it shows that violence is never the answer, even a bit of a biff between friends can end a life. I think it shows the importance of learning there are consequences to your actions, regardless of how you harmless your think your actions are. Once I heard this song, I felt it perfectly describes the nostalgia I feel whenever I miss my first love. We had such a beautiful love story, with crazy passion and cracks too. And now more than 10 years later, I still miss him like crazy and I'm forever grateful he thought me that type of love exists. I let him go, he is now married and I hope he is making her as happy as he was making me.
I cant believe this song is 10yrs old and the Mechanical Bull album is that old now. What?! I remember the winter around when this album dropped we had a few decent snow storms in Milwaukee. My snowblower was old and brokedown. Barely ever got it going. Couldnt afford a new one. So i would throw some headphones on, and this album. Grab a shovel and literally attack my driveway like a maniac. I swear a few times I got that wider than normal driveway with a big U curve to it done a few times way faster than I did with the snow blower because of this album.

This song reminds me of my freshman year of high school. I really liked this girl I met in my theatre class, but she had a boyfriend. I was cool with him tho and me n her became friends. She broke up w him a little while later and that’s when I made my move on this girl. We were talking and enjoying each other and then she got with this guy who’s hated me since middle school + they got together behind my back. This guy already knew that we’re were friends and then got comfortable with each other after her and her ex broke up so he bragged about it to my face. One day he was talking about how I was never going to talk to her again and that my life I pictured with her was over. Yelling at me. I snapped, got up off my char and hit my first punch. It escalated and he hit back and at one point I just started swinging for my life cause I fought for this girl. Actually she ended up crying that day, but I showed what I had to show. Recently now I went through a messed up breakup with a girl I was proud to call my lover in life and this song just takes me back to when I really fought everything I had for a girl on a guy I hated. Making me think that I can fight for this relationship I want back, not fighting anyone obviously. But fighting for that relationship making it obvious that I care and that I’m not giving up on it and putting everything I have to it still, making it a beautiful war and learning from my mistakes in freshman year so it’s not a war, it’s a beautiful war. This song gives me that strength for that thank you!❤

I cant believe this song is 10yrs old and the Mechanical Bull album is that old now. What?! I remember the winter around when this album dropped we had a few decent snow storms in Milwaukee. My snowblower was old and brokedown. Barely ever got it going. Couldnt afford a new one. So i would throw some headphones on, and this album. Grab a shovel and literally attack my driveway like a maniac. I swear a few times I got that wider than normal driveway with a big U curve to it done a few times way faster than I did with the snow blower because of this album.
