      Yes, I will show it to you but first I have to wash it under and it’s very cold outside. I’m worried some water will freeze and mess a wire. I am waiting for the temperatures to rise a bit so I can be sure the water will not freeze after I wash the car 😁

    I ordered one 1.5 diesel on 6/6/2022, still wait for delivery, i came from 13 years of Alfa Romeo 147 1.9 jtdm, i know is a different style of car, but i hope to have a great time with Dacia, i worked in Romania years ago.. at that time Dacia isn't the same of actual, but i back there every year in holiday, and i think is funny that an italian that go in the past in Romania with an italian car, from this year go with a romanian car!

    I recently bought a petrol, manual "4wd" 2018 Duster in the UK with approx 65,000 km. It is a lovely metallic orange/gold colour and in very good condition. However it only has a 1.6 litre engine and is fitted with a 6 speed gear box. There are a lot of good things about the car, but the gear change is definitely the worst part of the car for the driver. I think the engine size is a little too small for the car and with the gear box fitted you have to constantly constantly constantly keep working the gear box, especially at relatively slow speeds. For example when taking off, literally as soon as the car starts moving you have to immediately change up to 2nd. (When facing downhill I actually start in 2nd.) Then almost immediately up again to third. Therefore take offs at junctions are slow and I'm regularly beeped by drivers behind because of this. All the ratios between the gears are narrow. Also if you need to overtake or manoeuvre on dual carriageways /motorways / high speed roads when you need acceleration the top two gears are completely gutless. I know other people near me with same year 1.3 litre Dusters and they say the lack of power and gear change issue are even worse. It is therefore best suited for driving in towns (but not city rush hours) and not very busy country roads. It is generally a bit slow, and not really suited to high speed driving (above 75km per hour). Any speed other than slow when off road is also not much fun, and the gear changes difficult to do successfully. So off road is best avoided unless you really have to do it to reach your destination. Nice car overall, but it desperately needs a bigger engine, with a different gearbox and better ratios. Liked your video. You would not enjoy driving my Duster off road.

      In the manual for this car there is information that not loaded Duster should move from 2nd gear at roads. 1st gear is mostly for off road.
      Sorry to say but I think you are not the best driver. You should watch polish offroad channel "terenwizja", there is a few episodes with Duster goes crazy in quite difficult terrain. You dont need to understand language to see how it drives. I had a few versions of Duster in muddy terain and if you know what you doing its great car, of course its not real 4x4 but great for the price.

    Did you have any problem with the heater blower resistor? I bought a year old duster and it failed in the first month of ownership and heating fan would only run on full speed but was fixed under warranty. Apparently this is a common problem on dusters and wonder if anyone has found a solution to the problem. I know it’s only a minor problem but a bit annoying as on a lot of cars the resistor lasts almost the lifetime of the car.

    What tires are you running? I have a 2021 facelift duster and was wondering if I can upsize the tires. I know most people are running 215/70/R16, do you gave experience with bigger tires? Can I use bigger tires on 17"? Maybe 215/65/R17?

    • @GiorgiGachechiladze02
      @GiorgiGachechiladze02 Před 2 lety

      215/65R17 You can put that size it won’t touch, but I don’t recommend that size from my experience. The diameter is too big and it’s not comfortable, the car actually became rougher to drive especially at high speeds. If you want to get big tires get 215/70 R16 great for off-road and there are plenty AT tires for that size, it will also add clearence. While the stock 215/60 R17 is bigger in diameter than stock R16 215/65, but it’s a bit smaller than 215/70R16. If you can get AT tires for 215/60 R17 get them! but it’s harder to find and still, there are plenty of good suv all season tires for that size and I got Toyo’s open country myself.
