    The duster is hands down the best budget suv on the planet. Ive driven the new one and also the 2017 model. Drove 4x2 models on mountains, narrows passes, hills pretty much everywhere, it always felt like a 4x4 although it was a 4x2 model. Can imagine the 4x4 model. Top stuff... i even driven it in off roads in Italy spain... amazed and amazed my fellow passengers. Top car well done dacia.

    Gypsies are not from Romania!!!.
    They came from India and settled in RO at around 1910. Beacause romanian citizens were quite nice enough to provide living conditions they remained here.
    Now they make disaster worldwide and say they are "Romanians".
    Dear Jonny ,Please inform yourself before saying something stupid. Thank you!

      Hai mai Ionica, nu o lua atat de personal, gypsies sunt si ei oameni, dar asta cu dezastrul planetar era sa ma darame de pe scaun. Tehnic vorbind, toti care traiesc in Romania si detin un pasaport cu acvila, sunt "romanians". Oricum pentru majoritatea britanicilor suntem de undeva de prin Est, eventual fost republica sovietica, etc, localizarea cumva aproximativa. Ce-i uimeste cu adevarat inainte sa apuce sa stie ceva despre tine, e ca atunci cand deschizi gura si le zici ceva romaneste iti zimbesc si-ti zic : Am fost si eu in Italia recent :D. In rest, faza cu noi care am fost asa draguti in Evul Mediu si i-am primit cu bratele deschise m-a impresionat si am varsat o lacrima.... m-am privint in oglinda si mi-am zis ca sunt o persoana cu adevarat nice, acum ca am si probe.

      +Hetzer Hasser I'm Romanian and I'm not bothered by it. Gypsies are 10-15% of total population in Romania and they are Indian emigrants who settled all around eastern europe. They were slaves for more than 400 years, they were discriminated against and never got to integrate into society. It's our own fault aswell as theirs that this is happening to them.

    • @acvaticlifE

    • @augustinpaul5346
      @augustinpaul5346 Před 8 lety +19

      +Hetzer Hasser Bare-knuckles fighting gypsy is not a Romanian gypsy reference at all. Bare-knuckles fighting is a form of fist fighting (without any gloves, hence the name) practiced by Irish travelers (or gypsy's, how some people in the UK call them). So don't worry, there isn't even a drop of offensiveness aimed towards Romanians in that sentence, I can assure you. Any single Brit watching this clip will get the reference and will only think of an Irish traveler and not a Romanian.

    I bought one of these, new and for not a lot of money, 2 and a half years ago. I was prepared to forgive it for a few things. No need! It really has surprised me. The only thing that's failed is the nearside, dipped beam headlight bulb. I bought a new one for €4.00 and fitted it myself in less than 3 minutes; just like we did years ago. I'm getting about 50mpg from the 1.5 Renault diesel, Sat Nav is accurate, Cruise Control is easy and reliable, Air Con (manual) is better than on my VW Passat. The rural roads are terrible where I am, the motorways are quick. The hard plastic interior does not yet have the slightest squeak or chatter, nothings worked loose or fallen off, and the car is incredibly kind on its tyres.
    A comfy cruiser in 6th too, albeit with a bit - not excessive - wind noise.
    I am very pleasantly surprised. An 'honest' car that is far better than it has any right to be.
    Oh, and a lot of Nissan Electrics and greasybits; Qasqai and Juke underneath.
    I like it.

    • @empyrionin
      @empyrionin Před 7 lety +1

      If you are using such an argument in your favour, then "worldwide" English requests you to pronounce "Day-shah" since most of the globe considers American English as standard. This is also the way the "world" badly pronounces the name of the respective Roman province. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dacia)
      Regardless, anyone is free to pronounce in any manner they prefer, just don't claim any sort of authority on that. PS: Renault also sounds stupid to some of our ears, but we still pronounce it "reh-no" and not "rey-nolt".

      +Jonathon Churchill Down to poor Indian factory quality. The Romanian built LHD ones are better quality and don't rust.

    Test drove one of these hateful cars, if you're tall like me you have to put the seat right down (and there's 3 settings - top, middle and bottom). On the bottom setting the seat rocks forward and back. This happens on the show room cars they have, and it's even worse on second hand cars. It doesn't give you any confidence.

    So why didn't you go off-road not even once. I don't understand this kind of videos: all the time you talk about off-roading but you only drive on road. And the road is not even that bad.

      +Elfakir Abderrahim
      Nonsense. Even in a bus this road is not too bad. If you go a bit further in such Mercedes to Zagora the road is still good. Once you go off the N9, then we're talking offroading. For example the N12 and some sideroads of it (Oumjrane for example). And if he really wanted to test it, he should've taken the 'road' between Tamtetoucht and M'semrir. That's a real offroad test. Here are some pics of these roads: goo.gl/photos/Q7XnAvSt8SFaUMoF9 .

  • @chitaristu88
    @chitaristu88 Před 9 lety +1

    As a romanian driving a Dacia, i can honestly say that the Duster is pure rubbish. If you have 10k to spend on an affordable car, go with a Dacia Logan or a Sandero Stepway.

    • @MiguelLuna1

      how rubish? is it not reliable?

    • @chitaristu88
      @chitaristu88 Před 9 lety

      Dacia is owned by Renault. As far as i know they didn't built an suv/off-road car. This is their first attemt to get into the market in some countries. The Duster has the same components as a Clio/Logan on a chassis designed by others... do you see the point?

    • @genin4u
      @genin4u Před 9 lety +9

      mr Seicean - i'm romanian too - "rubbish" is your opinion - i have a 1,5 dci 4x4 Duster and it's a GREAT reliable car .... good deal for the price ... 100000 km in 2 years till now and no problem - i use it everywere(..including fishing..mountains, muddy roads.. soft offroad !)
      - by the way: i own others expensive brands(..bmw) ... new ... enough problems!

    • @chitaristu88
      @chitaristu88 Před 9 lety

      genin4u I did not use the word "rubbish". I would rather prefer a Sandero any time, or a Logan (witch I own) and it's by far a much more reliable car (in my opinion).

      +Alex Seicean Mananci spanac. Cunosc o mai multi oameni care au Duster si sunt foarte multumiti. Nu stiu ce "rubbish" vezi tu la ea, si nu vezi la Logan, spre exemplu, dar bati campii. E o masina foarte buna pentru ceea ce isi propune sa faca. E un SUV care isi face toti banii si stie sa faca offroad chiar bine. Vinde gogosi in alta parte, te rog.

      When you buy any BMW you should know you have failed in life. There's just 1 BMW model that makes sense, if you're from Belgium or the Netherlands: the M550d x-drive touring. So you can haul some equipment to the Alps over the Autobahn for a nice weekend outing. Otherwise, any BMW makes you look arrogant, ignorant, selfish and childish.
