This is an amazing game! Love the theme and love the gameplay even more! Crunchy all the way thru but quick and with a tactile-y satisfying output! You’re building a mini scene/city!
Great review! Really helped me on my search. Will be using your reviews first while I look for a new game this month!
I was part of the playtest, im really glad Zee liked it, i suspected he would, it last under 30 min! :D
Its a great game, and the production Devir has done its beautiful.
Wow, this game looks GREAT.
Great review Zee Gracias.
So buying this. Love the Art! Love the look! Like the puzzle!
the main board looks so tiny. this reminds me of a game that I saw from last year I think, cant recall what it was called. seems like almost the same exact type of play except using different shaped tiles.
Really glad you like the art!
Are you the artist, Oriol Hernandez? If yes, good job!
@@mydemon Yes:) So many thanks!! T’he second part is coming soon;)
@@MrOrionlesc Great work! I own the game, and the postcards are beautiful!
You did a great job. Love the game and it looks fantastic
@@MrOrionlesc just bought the game! Gonna play it tonight! Thank you!
This game is so up my alley! Based on this review it’s a must-buy. I can’t find even an approximate release date though. Anyone know?
Yeah, looks reeeeeally NICE. Looking forward to it.
This look neat. Will it have a US release?
Yes :)
Zee missed out on scoring the stamps on the postcards for a couple of extra points. Great game!
How does this compares to patchwork? I don't have any of them but thinking on buy one. Thank you
Paris is better
@@ThaisaSBCReason? (I didn't play either)
I'm really impressed by this game!
This game looks waaaaaaay better than Imhotep and Imhotep Duel
I have a problem with the name of the game. "City of Lights" does not translate to "La Cité de la Lumière". So either the English translation was wrong, or the French one (I think it's the French, City of Lights should be "Cité des Lumières", or the English one should be "City of The Light"). I really think it's the English name that is right, since we tend to say that France is "le pays des lumières", and that the game doesn't revolved around a single light.
Small nitpick I know, but as a French, it irks me a little when I see that title (like English native would be when seeing some random tote bag with weird English on it from a country that isn't speaking English).
Apart from that, the game looks awesome. Super fast, and still with lost of good decisions to make, and it's pretty.
@@Thagor95 one of the best two player games we own, replaced patchwork for us
Is this one of those "cult of the unreleased" games? ;)
Components look cheap/thin. Looks like the cardboard is warping already.
Not cards. Its cardboard. And the pieces are double layered so it's quite good for the price actually
Yep, the cobblestone tiles and the double layered polynominos are great quality. Odd comment.
