His impact cannot be measured especially in terms of singles and hits. Katy is is a star of sugar pop, and she does it better than anyone and I love it. There's just no comparison between the two.

If you’re old enough to remember the Beatles, you get it. She’s nowhere near old enough to remember Wings. She was an infant when Michael Jackson’s career was at its peak.
I'm younger than she is. Regardless of my parents having "good classic music taste" everyone knows the impact of the Beatles on music and if you are working in the music industry you *should* be well versed in the LITERAL greatest band that ever existed (I would put The Rolling Stones in first, personally, but still). It's not an age thing. The Beatles aren't a toss-aside detail in music history that you listen to "a few songs" if you are in the industry because you look at their model in terms of production, marketing, etc. to make a Billboard record.
p.s. if i was there next to him, i would probably be so much more excited.

Musically I don't like either one anyhow so I don't mind. I'm just watching this because it was in my recommended video's most likely because I've watched other clips from this talk show. I would say she is infinitely less talented though.

Back when I listened to “The Girl is Mine” after Michael died, my concern wasn’t with Sir Paul being bitter about the way Michael acquired the publishing rights to the Beatles catalog. It was how amazed Paul must’ve felt to outlive the guy.
