I agree. Acetone is so boring to use! I didn't know about it working better when warmed, next time I have to soak off, I'll try warming it in a bowl of warm water

Happy wonderful Sunday afternoon it's always a joy to see you and see the beautiful content that you are bringing I would love to see you do some more squoval shaped nails. Can you show us what are the best nippers when removing large stones and gems without it popping back and hurting the eyes!!🤪🧐💇🏻‍♀️🤔😢 I'm glad cameraman is back. Sometimes projects like this can cause injuries I just like soaking them off

Tip from a welder's kid! If you're a nail tech concerned about you and your client's safety, try looking up standards for PPE (personal protective equipment) for welders. They often work with PVC pipe as well as metal. Shaping, grinding and drilling these materials involve flying bits of metal and plastic so goggles or protective eyewear underneath those standards should help protect your eyes against the bits of crystal, plastic and metal sent flying by the efile! You can also ask a trusted welding professional but this may involve more opinion than rigorous testing by safety departments, though I'm sure most can attest whether a product can withstand wear and tear of use. Remember: safety first and happy researching!

So, I have a question for you, Suzie. Is it ok to put gel polishes on top of acrylic nails? And what are the steps you need to do in between? Besides keeping a good layer of product to protect the real nail? I see people on CZcams videos doing all kinds of stuff and mixing all kinds of products, but I need to hear from you, the professional, what is good and what is not good. Thank you Suzie and I hope you’re feeling better CameraMan. I would really appreciate an answer or you next video on this subject.❤

Suzie has tons of videos where she uses gel polish on top of acrylic. You can do a search for NCE gel polish. Hope this helps! (The short answer is yes, you can, and it’s VERY common practice nowadays).

3rd way! Use a soft gel nail and there's now special base coat that melts off leaving all your artwork on the nail so you can keep your nail art!

P.s.... @Suzy, have you ever had someone come down with a gel allergy and still be able to have nice nails? 😒 I found out I was allergic to gel nail polish the hard way back in January. It took 2.5 months for my fingers to heal. Last week I experimented on my thumb to see if it was a fluke. I used builder gel this time. And although it took longer for my skin to react, it still did. Luckily I was anticipating it and had cortisone on the ready, so it wasn't nearly as bad. But it still turned pinkish and was super itchy. I'm so bummed, and terrified to go get acrylics at a salon. I just want pretty hands. Sigh...Any advice?

Before I started doing my own gelX nails, I would use press-ons. If you do your prep well, they stay on for up to two weeks using the Kiss pink glue. I remember getting frustrated at how stubborn some sets were to get off. I know it’s not the same but the press-ons have really stepped up their game. Highly recommend Glamermaid, they have a huge selection and reasonable prices
Sorry to hear about your allergy 💜

If I were to soak everything off, and leave a protective layer on my natural nail, won’t it be brittle or compromised? Or will the acetone just evaporate and leave the thin layer as it were pre soak ? I’m new to nails and I find it easier to leave a thin layer too

Hey Suz! Is it normal when removing gems, that there is sticky gel underneath? Not completely uncured, but sticky and definitely not cured, since I noticed it the first time I double, even triple the cure time but it’s still the same, I’m using a gem gel, is it just crappy gel, or are they all like that?

The ugly side of doing nails is removing glitter nail polish!
Suzie, I try to grow my natural nails long but, when they get a little length, it feels like the extra length is making the nail separate from the nail bed, from the tip of my finger downwards. I already have tiny nail beds [I was a nail biiter for years] so I end up cutting my nails short to prevent permanent damage. Is this just in my head or have you seen this happen to others?
