    I would use it as a summing tone box. I remember running a mix I did in the box thru this mixer and it did something absolutely wonderful to the sound.

    You can also print the board EQ to the direct outs by opening up the mixer and moving some jumpers around; there’s a post-eq, post-fader options for the direct outs. Just got one of these used and plan to set it up for this style of workflow. :)

    Thanks for the video. The point about using the direct outs will help me. I am looking to develop an IEM system using Behringer XAir mixer. Thanks to you content, I see that I can take each channel direct out and into the XAir mixer. We are already routing the livestream through Aux 5/6. Thanks again for the content.

    Thank you for the information man! Just got one of these used. It's in great shape, however I did notice some calibration issues on some channels. L-R discrepancies of 6+ db in some cases. Is there any way to calibrate these yourself or is it a matter of finding a technician to recalibrate the whole thing channel by channel?

    Finally, something I can put on that isn't just a bunch of rambling. The last guy I tried to watch was doing some dance shit where he'd turn a knob up and then whip it back down and then he'd be on an entirely different channel and then go back. like... Okay, next.

    Best video GL2400 I think. I would like to buy the same mixer for only tracking drums with 18 mics. I just bough the quantum interface with 32 in/outs lines but not preamps.
    how it sounds the preamps? are these preamps cleans and quiet?
    You say there are a fan noise but for drums I think is not a problem. For guitars, voices and whatever I have Neve and SSL preamps API 500 so I don't need the console there BUT drums yes because I need more preamps and with EQ I think maybe it would be perfect for clean a few frequencies.
    So, what do you think? is this mixer good for this propose> or maybe I need another solution.
    Best regards my friend, great video.

    What should i be looking as far as what is wrong with it if there is!
    Is this good for studio use using only ableton to track loops no drum recording?

    • @DoctorMcFarlandStudios
      @DoctorMcFarlandStudios  Před 2 lety

      This is a great board for recording but there is some fan noise to consider if you are tracking in the same room as the board. Most boards that I found are pretty clean.

    Whats the benefit of putting line/pad option in mic ?
    Could you please tell me please

    • @DoctorMcFarlandStudios
      @DoctorMcFarlandStudios  Před 9 měsíci +1

      If you have a Mic plugged in the pad will lower the input signal so you don't distort the preamp. With Line engaged you are switching from the Mic input to the Line input on the back so you can leave a line level device and a microphone plugged in at all time and switch between both sources.

    How to hook up a cassette player

    • @DoctorMcFarlandStudios

      The Blue fader channels have two stereo 1/4'' inputs. Most cassette players have RCA outputs so you will need an RCA to 1/4 cable. Hope that helps.
