Word 😂 Going through these comments is a brutal snobfest and it seems to be completely contrary to the whole point of the music. And the worst part is I can hear all of it, the crust elements, the D-beat elements, the metal elements, the hardcore elements and streetpunk elements, it's all there and that's always been why I loved the record. I don't care what it's called.

exemplary, you'll not name a bad Tragedy album. Nawsachi - 100% agree with you, honesty is why this is just so important, no doubt, understandably, many will disagree, but this majesty, along with other poetry like Neurosis, to me i can only describe as soul music.

Definatly one of the more "refined" if you will, crust bands, havnt listen to crust in over a decade and this tragedy is like a fine wine, i get those new tones i didnt get before!

The drummer for Mayhem once said you have to train your ear to listen to their music and I find it to be true of most real hardcore.

Very much post-Vengeance.
It's post. Which to me is fascinating, I feel like you can hear and feel in your bones the transition from Vengeance to Darker Days Ahead on this album. Sure, it is the chronological progression so you could say "Of course you can hear the transition." But since Darker Days Ahead was seen as such a departure from their "core" foundational sound, I think it's worth looking at Nerve Damage to see that the DDA sound was being formed there. Nerve Damage is chunkier, and playing with more low-end riffs than they had in the past. It's absolutely experimenting with darker themes and more metal structures, though I wouldn't say Nerve Damage is a metal album like Darker is. I could think about this all day, as Tragedy are such a dynamic and fascinating band.

I agree that Tragedy is more "refined", if you will. I think that's one of the things that I like about them. After hearing so many crust bands' records that sounded like they were recorded/produced inside of a boxcar, these guys blew me away when I first heard them...jesus...12 years ago.
