@@DimitarNikolov I'm a cpl years older and for sure was a top play, but I'm a massive music nerd and musician...back then with no internet it was a diffrent world were we just delved deep into it. Best times I experienced were before 2000
Yeah same here I'll be 44 yrs old next month I bought Obsculum Obsemum when it was just released and got that and Sinister Diabolical Summoning the same day still a Huge fan of both bands to this day buy everything they put out Hypocrisy has been a big part of my life dedicated many many hours jamming there albums

Hypocrisy is definitely one of my favorite bands, they have never disappointed me, lyrics, harmonies, brutality, musical production and quality at the service of human beings who use their brains and with good taste. A classic album that brings back great memories.

My favourite Hypocrisy album. I talked about this with Peter a few years back and he hates this. He said the sound is terrible and he wasn't happy about it at all
Right before Peter T started engineering and producing in his studio. Very interesting and very 90s style production. Back when many audio engineers didn’t know what they were supposed to do with this style of music.

@@oldones59 Ive been recording bands and engineering drum sessions for death-black metal albums in my studio for a little over a decade.
Honestly after all the modern "clean" metal and what to me seems to be an over digitization of modern sound production, as rough as it is, I actually find this agreeable. Not all older albums hold up today in regards to production, and this definitely has that recognizable "90's" sound, but I still appreciate it. @@h.p.dominocus

Virus is my favorite I listened to it alot in the hospital when my daughter was born in 2007. Unlike alot of bands I think each album is a little better then the one before it.

Never listened to this album. Great tracks.
Very melodic solowork. Sometimes a solo does not match to the track. But these one's...love them.
Probably a good time to hear this one for the first time, this new version was remastered, not sure if this youtube upload is the remaster but the 2023 physical copies of The Fourth Dimension were remastered in 2021 by peter tagtgren.
Everything on that is an absolute Banger in every aspect of it - I know Peter doesn't agree on that but that how I experience this album. Damn I miss the 90s. Thanks for the Soundtrack of a special time in my life !!! sorry for asking but where is the track "the abyss" - without that it is not complete...I know it was the Bonustrack for DigiPack release and also a video was released so to me it belongs to the album because it makes the ending more dramatic like the doomy beginning

Man, a profound remaster/rerecording of this would be a banger. The guitar sound on this says: "Back in '94 we really didn't know how to record heavily downtuned guitars."

The issue with this recording is that they went to a mainstream studio in Sweden and both the studio people and the band didn't know what they were doing, they didn't know how to record a metal album, the flubby bass frequencies and garage drums are hilarious, the music is amazing though.
