Battlefield 4 is a first-person shooter video game developed by video game developer EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. It is a sequel to 2011's Battlefield 3 and was released in October 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360; then later in November for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Battlefield 4 was met with positive reception. It was praised for its multiplayer mode, gameplay and graphics, but was also criticized for its short and shallow single-player campaign mode, and for its numerous bugs and glitches in the multiplayer. It was a commercial success
Battlefield 4's multiplayer contains three playable factions-the United States, China, and Russia-fighting against each other, in up to 64-player matches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (24-Player on Xbox 360 and PS3). A newly reintroduced "Commander Mode", last seen in Battlefield 2142, gives one player on each team a real-time strategy-like view of the entire map and the ability to give orders to teammates. Also, the Commander can observe the battle through the eyes of the players on the battlefield, deploying vehicle and weapon drops to "keep the war machinery going", and order in missile strikes on hostile targets.[7][8] A spectator mode is included, enabling players to spectate others in first or third person, as well as use a free camera to pan around the map from any angle.
On June 10, 2013, at E3, DICE featured the map "Siege of Shanghai", pitting the People's Liberation Army against the U.S. Marine Corps. The gameplay showcased Commander Mode; new weapons and vehicles; and the "Levolution" gameplay mechanic. The video displays the last of these at various points, including: a player destroying a support pillar to trap an enemy tank above it; and a large skyscraper (with an in-game objective on the top floor) collapsing in the center of the map, kicking up a massive dust cloud throughout the map and bringing the objective closer to ground level.[9] Levolution also includes effects such as shooting a fire extinguisher to fill the room with obscuring clouds, car alarms going off when stepped on, metal detectors going off once passed through, or cutting the power in a room to reduce others' visibility.[9][10]
The maps included in the main game are "Siege of Shanghai", "Paracel Storm", "Zavod 311", "Lancang Dam", "Flood Zone", "Rogue Transmission", "Hainan Resort", "Dawnbreaker", "Operation Locker" and "Golmud Railway".[11][12] The game modes on offer include Battlefield's Conquest, Domination and Rush; while adding two new game modes called Obliteration and Defuse, along with traditional game modes such as Team Deathmatch and Squad Deathmatch.[12][13]
The four kits from Battlefield 3 are present in Battlefield 4 with minor tweaks. The Assault kit must now wait for the defibrillator to recharge after reviving teammates in quick succession. The Engineer kit uses PDWs, and carbines are available to all kits. The support kit has access to the new remote mortar and the XM25 allowing for indirect suppressive fire. The Recon kit is now more mobile and is able to equip carbines, designated marksman rifles (DMRs), and C4. Sniping mechanics also give with the ability to zero in your sights (set an aiming distance), and equip more optics and accessories than previous Battlefield games. The Recon kit is still able to utilize the MAV, T-UGS, and the Radio Beacon.[14][15][16][17]
New vehicles have also been introduced. With the addition of the Chinese faction, new vehicles include the Type 99 MBT, the ZFB-05 armored car, and the Z-10W attack helicopter. Jets have also been rebalanced and put into two classes, "attack" and "stealth". The attack jets focus is mainly air-to-ground capabilities, while stealth jets focus mainly on air-to-air combat. Another vehicle added in Battlefield 4 is the addition of the RCB and DV-15 Interceptor attack boats, which function as heavily armed aquatic assault craft.

If you have your pilot run support with the right squad perk you can have the rest run engi and have unlimited ammo while never leaving the chopper or worrying about the boxes.
Most underated thing in battlefield... teamwork. If you get get a good squad that knows what itâs doing youâre gonna dominant. And itâs an absolute pleasure seeing that accuracy on the miniâ„ïž

The mini drives me nuts. I always burst fire (maybe two seconds), never overheat, and the spread is awful and I can't hit jack, even when I know I'm on target. I can see rounds slapping all around him -- in front, behind, to the side. Absolutely infuriates me. So I have to relegate myself to doing reps.

Silk there's an option in the settings somewhere that makes you only issue squad orders if you use the comms menu. I would highly suggest turning it on so you don't constantly spam squad orders while spotting enemies near the objective.

The transport heli on that game was godly. Insanely accurate, props didn't have a hitbox, and you could dodge locks without countermeasures

There's only like 3 servers to choose from and they are usually filled with more out of region players.
Plus I wouldn't really call averaging around 1,000-1,600 total concurrent players on the weekends populated.

11:30 Gives me MW2 vibes when the character is on the minigun in DC and you get a shit ton of anti-air rockets/missiles that eventually shoot the helicopter down. So similar!
The so called transport helicopter is actually really good the problem is I feel like no one on the battle field community works together and every time someone gets the transport helicopter they only use it to get on top of buildings which is just sad the other problem itâs always that a low level player that grabs the helicopter and crashes in under a second.

I remember doing this in Warrock wayyyy back, absolutely amazing. I had a black hawk, circled around the enemy base and had a dude man the minigun rekking everyone in there.
This is cool. I read the comment from a few videos ago (I think the LAV video) where someone said you should squad up in a transport heli and you responded to it saying it was a good idea. So glad you made an actual video. đ

Love the content, you should have your pilot be support class so the engineer class can get a resupply on ammo
Iâve always used the the transport chopper to provide fire support but my friend group isnât really a fan of battlefield so I usually pilot the heli and hope some ransoms hop on for a little bit and fire back but sometimes you get that 1 random that just stays with you and kick enemy ass with the heli and you feel unstoppable
I dunno why "oh wise heli teach us thy skill" is so damn funny but it is. Lol
Back when me and the boys played bf4 it was always scout heli or transport heli. I personally loved flying the scout heli but the ability to run a good squad in a transport can be so good
I used to love doing this. Would manage to get an ammo crate in the chopper too so we could result mid aid
the transport heli is actually pretty damn powerful.
I use it on Siege of shanghai to take out the enemy's Attack chopper. because if you have 2 good gunners on the side, and the height advantage, you can quite easily take down most Attack choppers.

I don't think we will see a Huey again, we saw Hueys and Vipers on BF4 because we were playing as Marines all the time but now it seems it's going to be more army focused with the Apaches coming back

I do this all the time with my pilot mate. We always get RPG'd a lot (as in, people try to shoot us with RPG's), instead of stingers, and imo it's a lot smarter. The transport is relatively easy to hit with a smaw, and one solid hit might tilt the chopper enough that you crash. Stinger doesn't have nearly as big of an impact when it hits.
This is my life long dream, thank you for making it a real thing

The only part of the strat I would change that I have done in the past, pilot runs support, throws an ammo box on top of the rotor, then the engineers get ammo regen for rockets and frag rounds, also, use flir sight on frag shotguns. And good on you guys for the teamwork, shows what good squads are capeable of.

Pilot just needs to run the indirect fire perk on support class to resupply teammates in chop, ammo box always blows up eventually

We did that a few months ago on a public server on paracel storm. By the time the round was over everybody was shooting gunfire rockets at us non-stop in an attempt to get us down.
Transport Helis are awesome with some RPG combos, it's great fun anti-air with parachuting stinger bros
Me and a few others would usually need to do this on Siege of Shanghai, on PC that map is notorious for those trihard helipilots. So, helping our own Heli with the transport usually evened the playing field.
However we did it with Fortunate son set to loop on a bot in the discord server, it adds 10+ armour to the Heli in-game.

Another thing you could do to make this even deadlier is having the pilot as a support. One of the support especializations can refill the passengers ammo, which means infinite RPGs and drag rounds to the engineers

I love the transport heli. One time I was playing support, my friend would fly, and I would place an ammo box on the heli and spam explosive shells with the M1014. I really hope you can place ammo/health boxes on vehicles in 2042, it's a nice little feature. :D

I guess for loadout one person would use miniguns, laser guided, ecm, whatever upgrade. The co pilot or the 4th person would run miniguns or 25mm, laser guided, extinguisher for the same reason as if your the gunner for the attack heli, and gyro I guess? And for the other two people. One would be a recon that would use a pld with c4, and the other person would be a engineer with smaw with repairs while both of them should be carrying a frags shotguns with flir scopes on them
