- The time has finally come where we hook up our EG4 batteries and inverters to our solar array which will power our homestead for years to come. Hopefully our amateur skills are adequate!

That's a big, this solar system will power a whole village 👍
That's a nice big system! 😎👍
One of the best DIY solar installations I’ve seen on CZcams. I can’t stand watching videos where people have a rat nest of wire going everywhere, breakers and switches screwed to the wall. I can see something temporarily installed for testing or waiting for parts. But in the end all wire need to be put in pipe or runway for me. Subscribed
We can definitely relate. Rats nest installs make us cringe.🫣 Welcome to the channel and thank you so much for the support and kind words my friend!
To each their own. Like me, I don’t like people that nitpick. 🤷🏻♂️
Great job on the install! Congrats on getting power up and running!
Thank you so much!!
First time here, Just subbed, nothing like the freedom of being off grid, chase your dreams guys you got this.
Welcome friend! Thank you so much for your support and words of encouragement. 🙏🏻😊
Daaaaaang! Keep it up guys! Can wait to see what the future holds!
Thanks bud! Can't wait until we have room for visitors ;)
Electrical looks nice and clean! Nice job guys! 👏🏾👏🏾
Thanks dude! 🤗 It's nice to start seeing the hard work paying off.
Rockin the fenix head lamp. So swaggy! Great content! Thank you for sharing your journey.
Thanks for the support! That headlamp has been going strong for 7+ years.
Install looks really good. And you did a great job editing. Nice work.
You can scroll through the options on the key pads to see charging amperage and other stats.
Thank you so much! 🙏🏻☺️
So - you will definitely be fine at your batteries being 50% in the AM and fully charged by late afternoon in the winter sun. Awesome!
Great video on the solar. The two of you are doing EXACTLY what Deanna and I are preparing to do in Northern Nevada!! I have yet to get our footing going with the Mudmixer but trying to get the top of the mountain level-ish to get going! Great job by the two of you so far!! Love it!!
Thank you so much! I hope the leveling is going well and your footer is underway soooon! So stoked for you guys.
Hey guys just randomly found your channel while doing searches for EG4 which I just installed at my own place with EG4 LL batteries also. Love your vibe and energy just subscribed❤❤❤❤
Welcome new friend! Thank you so much for all the love and support. ❤️🙏🏻 congrats on your new EG4 set up! I hope the install process was fun and stress free for you. It sure is a game changer!
@@BisboneRanch Yes sir I have been learning slowly about solar for the last 3 years as I keep doing larger and larger projects building on to each one so that my knowledge grows my system grows 🥰
Really neat install. Good job.
Thanks my friend! 🙏🏻
Good luck with your channel! 🖖
Thank you!

super duper dope install ! clean and tidy. Love that Zissou Hat ! Would you mind sharing the model / specs on the EG4 unit you installed and where you purchased it? Looks similar to a Signature Solar unit. Wondering also if there is an app / wifi / bluetooth connection so you can get a view on all the power you are making / consuming etc. Impressive work team Bisbone!
Aw thanks Fernando! That beanie is probably an antique considering it came with the dvd set I bought when it was first released. The specs for the set up is two 6500 EX inverters from Signature Solar and one
EG5 load center PDP (POWER DISTRIBUTION PANEL) that goes with the inverters. Not sure if there’s an app. We’ve been curious ourselves since our EG4 solar mini split has an app. If you have any other questions just lmk! As always thanks for your support and kind words amigo! 🙏🏻❤️
@@BisboneRanch thanks for the inverter and PDP info! I found this just now, maybe this dude could get you on that path if you want monitoring. czcams.com/video/2BvZBawPtl4/video.html , sounds like maybe its a pain in the ___ ! and with that amount of panels and batteries, maybe not worth the effort vs just checking the battery lights when you are curious how much power you have left :)
Now go away😂😂😂😂😂😂. All kidding aside when you talk wiring I’m always lost😂. I’ve seen many CZcamsrs do what you’re doing but I’m still lost. I’d rather see😊. Looks so impressive
Looking good! I cant wait to get to my land in Cochise County.
Such an amazing area. I wish you the best of luck in finding your land! If you need a realtor let me know. Our neighbor Clay at Arizona Desert Rat Realty is great!
Congratulations: Nice and neat.
Thank you =)
With your experience doing piecemeal systems (e.g., Victron), what was the deciding factor for choosing the fully integrated system? What were the trade-offs, both ways?
Nice installation and an awesome battery pack, but did you install those high frequency, transformerless inverters? High frequency inverters are notorious for having much shorter life expectancies than higher performance low frequency, transformer based inverters and high frequency inverters offer a much lower surge capacity.
Thanks! 🙏🏻 You are absolutely right about the high frequency inverters. We decided to go with this set up based off the lower price and it has a decent warranty.
We are looking into the EG4 (parallel) like yours'. How many watts of solar panels are you feeding to them? We were thinking 130% of 12,000 watts of panels for maximum output to keep the battery bank fed. We will be storing power in Absolyte 2 volt cell configured to 48 volt. Fantastic system you two put together!
Thanks! It's been quite a learning process with everything but so far our system has been running great. We have 6000 watts total. (24 panels, 250 watts each)
Looks great. How is the solar carport. How did you put them together. Wanting to replace my back patio but make it bifacial roof. So dont want gaps in between panels.
Just curious how you did yours
We definitely have gaps in between our panels. Unfortunately it was our only option with designing the roof due to the high winds out here. The gaps keep it from blowing away lol
