In a better system and with better coaching, Fred would probably still have a mifield role in this squad. Whereas McTom would be either a backup CB in a 3 man defense or a permanent benchwarmer.
The penny dropped something clicked after the f.a cup final win I think the following season lvg would have won the league because the deadwood players played for him they loved him. We never got outplayed with lvg just we couldn’t break teams down.
