- On May 25, 2022, Yasin Malik was convicted by an NIA court in Delhi on charges of terrorism and was awarded life in prison. In response, Yasin chose not to contest the charges and instead pleaded guilty.
Hailing from Srinagar, Yasin stepped into the politics of Kashmir at a very young age. From forming his party at 17, to disrupting cricket matches and later fiercely campaigning in the 1987 election, Yasin Malik spearheaded the separatist movement in Kashmir.
While he gave up arms in 1994 and adopted peaceful methods to resolve the Kashmir issue, Yasin remains the poster boy of separatism in Kashmir.
So, who is Yasin Malik, and how did he end up in prison?

Good job with the editing, maybe little improvement is needed with the voiceover. And as to the content, there is a no mention about the influence of Hizb-ul-mujaheedin and how it sidelined the Separatist mission of the JKLF and hijacked their terror motive for a Pro-pakistan terror movement. The Govt of India (whether NDA or UPA) were sensible in trying to utilize a dormant Yasin Malik after he created a rift in JKLF in 1994, anyway he became a non-lethal collateral for our intelligence units in terms of keeping him as a buffer between Hizb-ul-Mujaheedin and the radical side of JKLF in PoK. The Vajpayee govt in the 2001 granted him indian passport to visit USA, UK for treatment. This showed a soft outreach to a person out on bail from TADA act. This was vital to garner a larger split within JKLF and between JKLF and Hizb-ul-Mujaheedin. And in following Manmohan Singh govt, Yasin Malik was called to the forefront, this angered the JKLF in PoK headed by Amanullah Khan, who were calling sole right and identity to the JKLF. Indian intelligence tried to make the best use out of this situation, having Yasin Malik in Indian territory and giving him a platform to speak about Kashmir. This was making the Hizb-ul-Mujaheedin and JKLF have a subtle race between themselves to establish their identity more among Kashmiris. But as usual, we can't keep a defanged snake in our pocket, it is still a snake, and Yasin Malik was always a liability for our intelligence forces.

He was the commandar of JKLF. A terrorist organisation.
He went to POK And took terrorist training in rhe camps of POK. Organised by hafiz Saeed and one more guys whose name I m forgetting..
After that he came back to kashmir and was involved in the planned kidnapping.. I m using the word planned conspiracy of kidnapping महबूबा mufti's younger sister and the daughter of then home minister. Then home. Minister had actually planned this conspiracy to kidnap his daughter and help terrorists like. Yasin free their accomplices.. Bcz for all of these jihadi terrorists like yasin quam is bigger than the nation they born in.. Islam. Is bigger than the country which feeds them.
And after all of this kidnapping fiasco. He killed 4 air force officers in broad daylight. And married a pakistani girl in Pakistan and successfully given her citizenship of kashmir. Then he was involved in terror financing since 1994 bcz he was learned enough and was made the face of the terrorists movement of kashmir by the left...
This is just a small summary of his deeds till now.
Also. He was given around 20 to 30 cr by the leftist Govt of India for keeping his mouth shut and not fuel a separatist movement in the valley.
He is behind the stone pelting incidents happening every now n then bcz he is rhe one who rents boys on demand for 500 per boy for stone pelting.
