Cheers mate, i come here to give some more info. The bolt has the normal travel and a full travel when the buffer is removed it becomes fulltravel so we can use the selectors with the cut space and lock the bolt open. Also the gun will be released in between july and september. It has full cnc steel bolt and internals and uses vsr spec hop up buckings and barrels. It looks pretty promising. I hope you give it a try, i'm really curious about it.

Yes, I own many of their gbbr and although they all have some flaws, vfc is overall better than the competition. I sometime wish they used some better material on certain parts, but their gbbr design is always better than we or ghk
great products, shitty Quality Assurance because they know they don't have to honor warranties outside of Taiwan, EU and the US.

Their AEGs were the best looking and best accurate AKs (I'm lucky to have kept a dozen of them ^^). I can't wait to see this GBBR version !

@@dariodeak don’t worry it’s not the Heph groza, one of my own projects. Also I wasn’t referring to doing artificial weathering because that usually comes out looking really bad unless you really know what you’re doing, just some cosmetic wear with use.

And the PPKs just in time for my typical birthday present pistol to myself.
I just recently got a WE M4A1 GBBR (The rifle in my pfp) I love AKs, the only reason why I didn't get a GBBR AK is became they're pretty much non-existent where I live. Apart from the WE PMC AK. But now that I'm moving to the UK... This might just be my next purchase, definitely after a couple months or so after initial release.

It's about time VFC went into the AK market. I am personally more an AR guy, but I am happy that VFC is expanding more passed their current repertoire.
So much activity on all fronts in gbb, I was even thinking of selling off my v2s of ak and m4 and getting the v3s

The pins on the rifle are real not just mold in, Mag are made of metal(like vmag). The method VFC fixed the barrel is by a pin (which like real steel?) So the way you remove hop up unit, just unscrew it

Do you not think that fult steel bolt will cause issues with efficiency and cool down? Although agreed from a realism and recoil perspective, it produces the best experiance but i cant see how the performance wont suffer , especially in colder climates
Looks like it runs a steel bolt just fine.
I think they have made necessary adjustments to weight for the best performance.

TM is too much toy-ish, GHK is the standar but you have to add few aftermarket, at least with V2

i hope they bring back their ak aeg's. they were the best ak's of their day. we saw e&l return with their essential lineup. main difference is the motor.

Curious about two things. The KWA AK-74, I own one. Doesn't it already have a hammer drop on empty,? Mine does do that and if I remember correctly, it won't fire if there is no BB in either the mag or hookup
This 74, is it the AK-74 with just different wording?
This one also has that huge bellend at the back of the bolt carrier, which is going to prevent full travel. Is this probably because they copied GHK?
The recoil was good, very stable full auto fire, super realistic hammer spring, was told that most parts are real steel spec, mag was really light like never before.
But I really don’t like the exterior finish of the ak, looks just like their bcm, paint came off quite easily.

For a prototype it’s looking quite good though. Considering it’s due for release at the ass end of 2024.
That video of it on twitter firing continuously for 200 cycles on a single gas charge was impressive.

I'll definitely be waiting at least for the 2nd batch to look into it further. But VFC just put out a really nice offer into the AK GBB market with this one, that's for sure.

I don’t see what the deal is with hammer drop on empty. I use Yugo BHO mags and there is not hammer drop on empty. The bolt stays open so the barrel and internals are cooling off for however long it takes you to reload. Much much better. No dead man’s click telling your enemies you’re out of ammo.
I spent so many years with the GHK, and always enjoyed it. Although it lacked that realistic feature and that let it down. For me at least, I felt disappointed. So with their upcoming improvement part, it stands as the most realistic GBB AK at this point.
@@BadaBingPicturesthank you for your reply badabing. My point earlier is that this “realistic” feature is not realistic in the real steel world if you use BHO (bolt hold open) magazines. Yugo mags are such and they work in all AK variants. -- the magazine follower stops the bolt in the open position on empty so there is never the “dead man’s click” aka hammer drop on empty. Much preferred by most for multitude of reasons mainly because it allows the chamber and barrel to cool in the bolt open position AND, (wait for it), because it eliminates the dead man’s click / hammer drop on empty. -- it’s called dead man’s click because it’s a dead giveaway to your enemies that you’re out of ammo and in need of mag change.

Another Ghk V3 feature that is barely noticeable (shorter receiver). It eliminates possibility of using endless airsoft aftermarket options for top covers and more. Yes you can use RS top cover but if you’re going for railed options you’ll be paying 10x or more for the real steel parts.

Not too excited about the AK direction by VFC. There too many iterations by multiple companies.
Hardly, ghk v2 ak’s shouldn’t even be considered since they are dog trash, the v3 is a unknown and the tm offering is great, but lacks the externals of steel.
Literally there are 3 times more m4 interactions from multiple companies

You trust VFC? I’d wait to see what corners they cut first. Will it work? Sure. Will it be 1:1 inside and out like their ARs? Most likely. Will the outer barrel be full steel, will the steel internals be high grade or their usual soft steel? Will their plastic nozzles chip and break fairly easily over a short time? Time will have to tell! 😂 VFC and Northeast Airsoft are on my wait and see list along with KWA. 😮😂

I've ran over 2k rounds into my HK416D, never had a chip, even after the occasional misfeeds from overgassing. I've also ran over 3k rounds into an M733 that I fired constantly on full auto. Same deal with my UMP9 that's either close to or over a 3k round count. No chips or damage to the nozzle.

Well, thing is I didn't want to brag, but the only modern VFC gas guns I haven't used and/or had is their newest-version G36, M40A5, and that weird Vietnam-era grenade launcher. Everything else has passed through me one way, or another.
The nozzles don't break. Like, of all the problems I get with them, nozzles do not break without intervention from the user. They get deformed or scratched from standard use, but they don't chip. So I don't know where you're getting that. The most problematic modern guns I've had with VFC is the Fabrams STF/12 and their FN Mk17, and the nozzles aren't even part of that list.

Plenty. Like using shit ammo. Or using overpressured gas. Or not knowing how to use a gas gun to begin with. You'd be surprised how many screw up their guns that way.

Which is kinda weird when the DX 416A5 is one of my best guns pre-and-post full upgrade.
VFC is criminally overrated. They're good, sure, but this AK looks like garbage.
