Another great album by Soen, especially this track! I get that there are many resemblences to Lotus, but I still enjoy it very much!

So once again, I found this channel because I was looking for Tool tabs a while back, but MAN!!
Some of the songs you do tabs for I've never heard of, but what's amazing, and super respectable, is the quality you put into all of your videos. I haven't ever heard this song, yet your tabs for this and quality is soooooo good that like, you do the song justice in a way, and show just how awesome this music and that specific song actually is, with the quality you put forth.

Soen as really developed their sound past just being “ToolPeth”. There’s obviously elements of them here but it’s finally taken a turn into being something different. Something on their own. Good for Lopez making that step on his own and committing. Soen is seriously awesome. I love how rhythmically driven their riffs are. It feels alot like Gojira with how they write riffs centering around the drums so much. Which is a great thing. You partner that with the Opethy melodic elements you have something special. I love their use of keyboards. It paints the picture the song is building wonderfully. Great tune and cover.

Ok, this is ridiculous. The album just came out and Max already tabbed this and learned to play it perfectly. I am 96% sure that he's an android that sees all sounds in tabs.

Thanks Justin! I totally get that. To be honest, I also only like half of the songs. It seems like it has a lot of similar chord progressions, at least in the vocals, from Lotus. Which is not a bad thing, considering how good Lotus is. I just wish they would have explored some new sounds. But Lumerian is really cool :)
Can't agree more. Lotus was my personal album of 2020 and I'm a really big fan. However, chord progressions seem very similar throughout the album, especially if you listen to the intros after each other. Antagonist is my favourite - would've been nice if they push the boundaries a bit

I've just started listening to Soen and this is the first album of their's I've listened to front to back. Really enjoyed it, I'm looking forward to diving into their other stuff!
Go for Lykaia Revisited, sounds better than the original
Usually I'm playing TOOL along with Max's tabs, but around two months ago I've discovered Soen. I enjoyed Lumerian so much that I took guitar and typed "Lumerian tabs" in youtube. MAX NIESSL - FIRST RESULT. You rock man! Perfect taste of music :D

It’s a Diezel Hagen profile on my Kemper
It seems as if they’ve been becoming less and less rhythmically intricate and more melodically mature, which is a fine tradeoff. I think they hit the balance perfectly with Lykaia; Tellurian is amazing but potentially slightly too “progressive” and not melodic enough, and both Lotus and IMPERIAL aren’t progressive enough IMO (but still fantastic).
I love how they stay true to their style, but whilst analysing chord progressions and melodies for my videos, I found that they do recycle stuff. Especially in the choruses. The riffs are really cool and very unique, but the choruses tend to sound very similar :(
I kept replaying the intro cuz the rest of the song is garbage.
Totally get it, on the new album the initial riffs boost the song, but the rest is not very fun to play
