This one had it comin'. Finally, I had the time to transcribe this. Transcribing 3/4 to 2/4 all the time is time intensive as hell. Also, so many intricate passages in here. Those two songs emerge into a mammoth of a masterpiece.
Even though "Intension" is technically more of a segue to "Right In Two", it's one of my absolute favourite tracks by them. So peaceful and calming.

As you all know, what you hear is what you see here. It usually takes up to 5 hours of recording until I have that one take that I'm gonna use for the video. Not to flex or anything, but this was the *first frickin' take* . Hope you enjoyed! 🤘

Can confirm, so far 85% of the songs I have tried learning are from Max. Certainly an inspiration and a great resource, especially for starting my journey with guitars!

Right In Two has one of the most climactic, energetic riffs I've heard from all of Tool.

Funny story: When I first listened to Intension, I (somehow) thought that intro guitar line was a reversed audio track instead of just volume swells. After seeing this video, I was curious as to how it would’ve sounded like if that was the case, and if it had another “secret” riff when played backwards (like the Blackened intro). So I went and reversed the clip, and surprisingly, it sounded pretty bad.
Haha me too! I just sounds so inversed. But we don't have any evidence that Adam is playing it like that. He plays it on keys live :)

I love right in two with all my heart and soul, it's for me, the best masterpiece of music i never heard in all my short life man. That song change my all perspective of my self and all things and concepts in general.

3:57 The note on the 5th fret on the D string was played so in sync that you can not distinguish it from the original. Once in a lifetime note.
I was having a really bad day and this was just the reminder I needed to look forward.
Also, I always thought the pull-off at 11:23 was some massive chord. It's still the heaviest single sound on the two songs xD amazing

I have been trying to learn these songs by ear and peak at a semi-correct tab found on some sites for years. Taking time now to truly apply myself to learning Tool songs. You're definitely going to help me with that process. Thanks for your work on these videos. It is a big deal for those of us who find this a therapeutic experience.
When youtube started I used to watch stuff like this all day, although it was not possible to actually see what people played due to the quality. I really enjoy this. I don't need pretty people showing of, rather just hands and a guitar playing something enjoyable. Thanks mate!

Damn man, right in two is my fav tool song. When I saw you uploaded a cover I didn't want to hear it on the flight and set an alarm for the evening to hear it right before I sleep. I ended up staying up way longer than I actually planned and missed the alarm. Some minutes ago I got a push up from your new cover and I was like 'Fuck.. I forgot about something'. Not only are all the nuances there (Adam makes it seem so damn easy) but with such a long piece (even if you didn't give Intension/Right in Two the Eon Blue Apocalypse/The Patient, Parabol/Parabola treatment it would have been) and it is more than enough of a challenge. Great stuff :)

Intension has to be one of the most creepy and beautiful songs I’ve ever heard
Such a great video. I decided that my New Year's resolution would be to finally pick up my guitar and start learning properly. Granted, I didn't choose an easy song to learn here with Right in Two, but a couple of months in and I can play through the first 60-ish percent of the song, only encountering major difficulties in the fast, alternate picking sections towards the latter half of the song. But I will persevere with it and fully learn how to play this wonderful piece of music. Couldn't have done it without you man!
