The only director I would trust, in the world, to achieve the difficult task of advancing the Black Panther story without 'our' Black Panther being in it, is Ryan Coogler. I don't say this to raise expectations to an impossible level, or to put more pressure on those involved in this special project, but rather as a simple point of fact: If he can't get it right, then no one can. That's how intrinsic he is to this amazing story. I suspect we're all going to be both inspired AND reduced to tears in November. Bring it on!

In the MCU, Nakia is the more fitting one. She was originally a candidate chosen for Challenge Day, is a seasoned fighter with a host of experience and is one of the people closest to T'Challa. Of the available candidates, she's the one that actually has the background to continue the role.

He shows her a final ingredient to manufacture the heart-shaped herb, and she returns and tries to become Black Panther while Nakia brings her and T'Challa's baby to term (note, NOT the baby we see born underwater in the teaser...look at the ankles, that's Namor's birth in a flashback). TWIST: Bast rejects Shuri, but accepts RAMONDA. THAT'S who we see at the end of the trailer, fighting Namor and securing Wakanda...forever. The trilogy of BP films will end with a final film showing the young son of Nakia/T'Challa earning the throne and the title of Black Panther, becoming a Young Avenger (maybe the leader), while Nakia becomes Queen Mother.

I was thinking it'll be his son as well. At the 2:47 mark when all the water comes flooding in. I think that little boy is T'Challa son. I think Wakanda and the people lose and are down for awhile (maybe even years) after the passing of T'Challa. And Namor takes over their land. But when the son is old enough and ready he takes the mantle of Black Panther and the throne back from Namor.

Something I realized while watching these Black Panther films and I'm trying to be careful saying this but... black people just make the whole world shine. I've seen those colors before. But those colors would not look that vibrant on my Korean skin as it does on all the beautiful people in this trailer. Even just the color white... damn. I believe he is not dead. He will come back perhaps not as Black Panther, but to Train Shuri and help his people against Namor. This will complete a redemption ark for a character alot of people love. He may die a real confirmed death this movie.

Rip Chad. I am in tears. I'll be watching it in tears...what Angela said oh you can feel it, shuri...The funeral, tribute, scenes, Namor. The writing about Chadwick in Wakandian...it was a lot. Chadwick is not Jesus. It's what he represented. Wakanda is not Jerusalem or the African continent. It's what could have been if we listened to our King and kept outsiders away. It's what it represented. God bless them, Chadwick, his wife and family. When God returns, our Saviour Jesus, we'll be a true nation again. A nation in a day #RealLife. We'll return from the lands we were taken to and go home where we are safe and belong...and at peace finally. Leaving this nightmare behind. Seems like we wanna go home...the majority that we're crying over Wakanda.

I’m going to miss Chadwick, and I am very grateful that he lived long enough to finish his arc in Endgame. This trailer looks amazing. I think the mantle will fall to Shuri, mostly because their mother says her entire family is gone. That makes me think Shuri is off on her own journey to become the panther or something

Marvel is introducing Namor (The Sub-Mariner). That is the baby in the movie. Namor was one of the original Marvel characters back in the 1930s. You need to watch some guides on the character. Very interesting. I can’t wait to see how Marvel is going to play the storyline out

I am going through so much right now it's been a week since my world n family fell apart,my husband is divorcing me and I know not being able to afford a lawyer I'm not gonna stand a chance for custody. My first marriage almost killed me, I've been to death's door spent almost 2 months n a hospital, survived 2 semi accidents,house fire,being left to die and I never wanted a child to have to go through that and now I have a child who has to go through this and the line from Angela Bassett hits hard I've survived and given so much only to lose it all in the end I started out in an orphanage and I feel like I'm that again. You guys make me laugh through so much the pain I could never say thank you enough. I apologize I'm rambling I hope this makes sense it's hard to cry and type. 🥺
