Hi mate, you do some absolute awesome work. Are you a boat builder? I see you haven't posted for a fair bit hope all is well and you throw some more projects up soon.
The Volero Dart was the first boat I had in 1973, it was second hand with a 65hp Mercury. I also owned a large 19ft runabout/ outboard version of that hull, called a Volero Baron. It was bought new from Aztecraft in 1979. They built them in sterndrive and outboard versions. Aztecraft also built the 17ft 6 inch Glastron runabout. They had bought these molds after Volero in Dandenong went broke.
thanks for the imfo Joey. I wish i had the molds for the dart, I reckon I would be able to sell them as quick as i could pump em out. My first dart had a 65hp johno on it, bought boat motor and trailer for 2800 bucks. took the 65 off and put a rebuilt 115 v4 evinrude on it and it was ballistic. I loved it.
Thanks Adam. The project is a little more advanced now but not happening as fast as I'd like due to everyones elses boats I am repairing as thats my job, but it will get there eventually. Im happy just to do a bit when I can. Will make another vid on it when Ive got something more to show.
Hi eric. the pod has compressed fibre board epoxied internally . I think its called coosa board in the usa but here in australia its called blue water board. Totally compatible product for fibreglass work. Only 1% water absorption compared to nearly 50% in plywood. Rot, mold and insect proof too.

What is fiberglass layup schedule look like. I'm curious how thick the glass and composite need to be.
Hi why did u add a pod was it to raise the transom, my boat sits low in the water want to bring it up abit
Hey mate you've done an awesome job on all your projects I'm wandering what paints you use to paint the bottom and sides
sometimes I use 2 pak polyeurathane marine paints, and some are gelcoat, and others are gelcoat mixed down with duratech gloss additive.
What was the pod made out of? Fiberglass and what else?
