when I played this years ago, i thought this scene was so cool and it made me like Thomas and rosine as characters even more. it also made me realize that other characters that weren't really in class viii during the adventure were working behind the scenes. the world is just so massive.
One of the best stories, plot, world.. call it what you want i have ever played... It's definitely among my top 5. I started Cold Steel III 2 days ago... things are gonna get interesting.. it's impossible to leave this journey after having played so many games.
I heard so many good things about this series and man did the first one feel like a slog to get through the college simulator, but i was hooked in that last twist and dunno how i didnt know about the... Soldats (trying to be spoiler free). Replayed the first one to read more about the lore and now just finished the second one that expanded upon all that lore and opened more threads! Its insane to think theres 6? previous games before cold steel and still 2 more in the cold steel series and i think a fifth soon to be released!
@@nethervortex there are 5 before CS... 3 trails in the sky and 2 for crossbell arc... trails in the sky trilogy are available in english but the crossbell arcs english version are to come out on 2023 i think (JP version was released prior CS1)... the one after CS4 is already out with english version to be released in 2023 i think. we also have the latest one that's to be released end of this month (JP version)
Thanks for the upload. I wish they hadn't locked such an important reveal behind NG+ AND missable collectibles to then unceremoniously spoil it near the start of CS3. I guess it made sense when CS2 came out since there was like a 3 year gap between them but now no one would play CS2 twice before moving on to CS3.
Exactly. I've been playing the cold steel series, I sell my old copy of whatever game I finished so that I can buy the next in the series. I'm not playing another 50 hours when I can just get CS3 immediately. Thank god for CZcams and people who upload this.
Yeeeeaaaah. I started playing CS3 today and saw the flashback to the cutscene from this and I was like wtf that never happened?? The fact they even voice acted it really baffles me when a lot of important scenes in the game aren't even voiced or those awkward one way conversations where they decided to voice one character and not the other. I really hate those.
Amen. I'm playing since a few weeks through the entire series, so there is no chance I play a game twice till I move on to the next. No, I'm at the start of "Cold Steel 3" and... yeah, and a confusing interaction with Rosine, I watched this video.
In most games I would just go through NG+ and check it my self. But those last few dungeons ware a fucking drag and just killed my desire you try it again. Well at least not any time soon.
I'm currently at the Epilogue and I just wish this game would end already. Couldn't they have made Class VII's disbandment more succinct? That said, although I disliked the long dungeon of the Divertissement chapter, it was pretty cool to see Lloyd and Rixia again, and get an update on how Crossbell is doing. Honestly this is why I recommend playing Crossbell before Cold Steel, at least the attachment you have to the characters will keep you motivated to go through that unnecessary slog of a dungeon.
Adding 2 extra chapters after rolling the credits is certainly something I would never understand. You prepare the player for the ending and then add a lot more on an already long game
I just recently beat 2 and heard there was an extra scene you could only get in NG+ and I for one am not playing through this game again just for it so videos like this really help me.

Thank you for uploading this, now I don't have to play NG+ to see this cutscene! I loved ToCS 2, especially the Finale (the game SHOULD'VE ended there), but seeing how long the epilogue became and how frustrating the "true" (and useless) final boss got, I don't feel like playing the WHOLE game again... at least not for now, maybe someday...
Finished last week, and i completely agree, they absolutely killed the pacing and while there was a some beautiful closing moments, it was partially overshadowed by how exhausted and burned out i was as the game refused to end.
I agree. The game shouldve have ended after the finale. Theres no reason to continue to drag on the story through divesrtissment and epilogue. Dont even wanna play it again.
I don't mind the Divertissement chapter since it's a nice update on Crossbell, although I feel like it would have been better if they had used that time more for exposition on Crossbell and less for a useless, drag of a dungeon. Like what demented architect designed a sewer system that forces you to trek through a hundred selge of monsters, weird platform puzzles, and conveniently placed vents? That said, there's a reason why Azure's ending was way more satisfying. Maybe because it actually fucking ended. It ended at the perfect time too, when your emotions ran high from the story scenes and just beating the final boss, which was hard as hell. The CS2 final boss was such a pushover in comparison, that I literally defeated the second form without taking damage just by using dodge tank Fie, Adamantine Shield, La Forte twice, popping every S-Craft and making Laura overdose on Zeram Capsules. That said, I actually kinda enjoyed how easy the final boss was in a different way. Like the "JRPG where you can become stupidly OP" kind of fun.
Think of how overpowered Kevin Graham was, and he was only the Fifth Dominion of the Gralsritter, this guy is the Second Dominion, only second to the head of the entire organization. Who knew that Instructor Thomas would turn out to be the most powerful person in the whole school (probably one of the most powerful people in all of Erebonia)?

Then in the second he pops up toward the end during the assault on the Infernal Castle and is talking to another guy whos name i dont know and that guy clearly knows Thomas is more than he appears. Super excited to see his arc in CS3 and beyond.
Yeah they should've put this in the base game. It's basically needed for a plot point in cs3. Not everyone has the time to replay an entire 50-100 hour long game through a new game plus just to know an important scene.
I'm doing NG+, but Cold Steel 3 came out too soon for me to finish, and I really want to get to that. I haven't finished sc either, but I'm almost done. I'll watch up, and then play at my leisure. I'm fine with that setup.

the number is not the scale in power, but the stigma of the dominion (might be the power of it)

They should've included this in the 1st playthrough. There was no sense finishing a 2nd playthrough just to see this semi-major event
