On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

I would love to see a BVR fight with the AIM-152s against an aircraft with Meteors. That would be very interesting since the missiles seem to have similar characteristics.
Or have Eurofighters V Eurofighters - but each side with the aforementioned respective missiles loaded. No awacs. No SAM support. Just BVR.

@@jasbadsirron6424 I agree but I think it should be between the Eurofighter Typhoon with meteors vs the F 15 EX Strike Eagle with AIM 152 (the Ramjet powered one).
If they're using SAM sites, the planes will have to fly low and slow, giving an advantage to the Meteor.

hyped for the HB/TG ef2000... its got that DASS which can automatically deploy countermeasures against all incoming types of missiles.

Chinese Flankers are getting even better. Pretty sure the more modern ones use indigenous engines and AESA radars.

tbh, today the debate about the best flankers revolves only the chinese flankers: J-11BG, J-15B and J-16
@@bussolini6307 Su-35 still have an advantage on certain aspect of kinetic performance. Yet for literally everything else J-16 beats every other flanker variant out there (except Su-34 for bombing roles and Su-33/J-15 for carrier operation of course).

With some fictional/non-fictional storytelling, all types of action, setbacks and advancements, I think that would be awesome and would really showcase how cool the mission editor can be
I know it's a lot of work, but I believe this could produce something really amazing and entertaining while showing what's capable with DCS and displaying more of the beautiful maps other than just the one-off dogfights or BVR fights as I feel they have been done to death
This could even tie in perfectly to when the F-15E is released - having everything prepared ahead of time

It's looks like the pl-15 wastes a lot of potential energy just by how it comes off the rail. It drops a bit and ignites. Where the Meteor just fires right off the rail basically.

In my opinion they both shouldn't have drastic differences in rcs as eurofighter was made to be an interceptor primarily while it's twin bro rafale was made to be purely multirole which disabled eurofighter's focus on development of stealthy features, one of them being it's straight intakes.

1:47 or so, that PL-15 dropped a LONG way before it ignited. That seems like a problem, dropping down into the thicker air before it even gets started.

He's done that already. Also, it's not a very interesting fight. The A-10 is about as dominant over the Su-25 as the F-22 is over a Mig-29.

Re the computer voice saying "pull up" - I was about to say it would be in Mandarin, but then I remembered something about how Chinese pilots are trained to use English, maybe in the same way that civilian pilots around the world use English as the standard language when communicating with air traffic control, each other, etc. Now the Mandarin-accented English used by Chinese pilots is almost incomprehensible but I guess it makes sense to them

Can you do a dogfight with f35 vs j20? None are air superiority fighters, both stealthy, both 5th gen. Fair matchup
One is much more stealthy than the other. But one also carriers a lot more munitions and is faster
Afaik the J20 is actually an air superiority fighter, at least according to china. Its only limited stealth though, similar to (although likely better than) SU-57.
@@termitreter6545 actually, j20 was mainly designed as a long range interceptor that targets tankers, awacs and stuff like that so that the f22 would not pose such a threat to chinese controlled airspace

And features like the canards are sacrificing stealth for maneuvrability, which would be strange for an interceptor.

It was nice knowing you too GS, Silly question, I know that the Fox 3 is long range and relies on radar to hit the enemy aircraft but why can't they put a heat seeking sensor on it as well so it can track aircraft when you "go cold" and point your hot arse at the missile? Looking at the seeker head on an AIM 9 it can't be that big?
The drawback to that is you're going to be compromising both tracking methods, as there will be less space/weight available for each sensor. So you'll have a missile with two tracking methods, but both inferior to a single guidance system.

Seeing the J11s cockpit makes me feel how I would be much more comfortable and relaxed with all the displays on the F16 Viper telling me what’s going on and helping with awareness in combat
Seriously, imagine heading into contested airspace at supersonic speed, and all you have to go on is your radar and what some guy on the ground 50km behind you *thinks* is the situation. No thanks.
The model here is from the J11A so it is similar to the Su-27 ubks. They might have moded in the radar and flight performance but not the cockpits. Later flankers such as the J-16 and J11BG(upgraded j11 B )is all glass like the F35. You could refer to the JF-17 as probably the level of glass cockpit found in the base j11b.

The Eurofighter is pretty much *the* platform of the Meteor. Although the Gripen, Rafale and F-35 can carry it too
