- Can I beat a Pokemon Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge in using only types?
Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
Always Set mode
No items from the bag option in battle (held items are ok)
No overleveling the next gym leader
Personal Rules:
No Stat-Boosting moves

Small note- Lusamine has random AI. I think she chooses her pokemon properly in a predictable manner (not 100% on that) but she definitely chooses her moves randomly... Which honestly makes her much scarier in a nuzlocke context because you can't play around her safely.
i remember a different nuzlocke challenge youtuber saying "stupid random AI is scarier than smart predictable AI" about this lusamine fight and honestly yeah i can see it
I think Gamefreak intended to make Lusamine's AI random because of her going insane

And yes, every trainer has proper switch-in AI, even if they have otherwise random AI.

I know that these games are extremely tedious to get through but damnit USUM nuzlockes are just so fun to watch. They're a genuine and unique challenge with many diverse encounters. I'd honestly watch a nuzlocke of these games for every type in the game

Nuzlockes of the Alola games are always impressive, I've only managed to finish one of Ultra Moon once myself, and doing it with only one type of pokemon is even harder. Kudos to you, Mr. Antlerboy.
Moxie boosted Scrafty being named Broly fits so well. And Frieza coming in clutch at the end would make all DB Super fans proud.
We can always count on antlerboy to save us from being bored.
Infernape is one of my favorites. I might be biased because I used one in my first ever hardcore Nuzlocke I beat, but it’s so classic and so powerful.

I think bias is kind of the point of it being your favorite. Sure, he might be a favorite for a lot of other people too, but that's fine. Don't let other people tell you who to like and not like. Be yourself, mate. Go ahead and like Infernape. He's a beast and a good Pokemon to like.
Pasimian is actually one of my favourite pokemon because my favourite animal is a lemur and pasimian is based in a lemur. Also fantastic video, I love the ultra games

I wish you could refer your Pokémon by their nicknames more. I really liked the name theme here since I'm reading the original Dragon Ball manga. But I love how you named Infernape Goku since they're both based on the Monkey King!
Edit: I forgot to say what my favorite Fighting type Pokémon is. I think it's the Mankey line. They're very fluffy and cute despite their temper. ...It's interesting how I'm talking about Dragon Ball and the Mankey line since Mankeys lose their tails upon evolution like Saiyans when they get too strong/whenever Toriyama is too lazy to draw them (Bulla is never shown with a tail despite not being strong at all, so...).
I really should refer to them by their given nicknames :) DBZ is awesome!

Pawmot is my new favorite fighting type, but I actually do love Passimian. I used one in Ultra Sun with the hidden ability and he was incredible.

So some options for future Nuzlockes are ORAS Figthing (8 Pokemons, with 2 only able to capture after the Groudon/Kyogre event), ORAS Normal (12 Pokemons, with 2 being Safari and Zangoose an OR exclusive), ORAS Dark (7 Pokemons, with Sableye and Shiftry being exclusives), ORAS Fire (5 Pokemons, with 2 of them on the same route) and ORAS Fairy (4 Pokemons, with Mawile being an OR exclusive)
That 'gotta love Gen 1' comment makes me want to see you playthrough them and their delightful jank. Play around those 20% crits, 10% freezes (read as 10% ohko) and that 1/256 chance to miss any move that checks accuracy.

My fav fighting type is Marshadow. How I wish it was instead a 550 BST mon like Arcanine, where you could get it in your normal playthrough through some special quest. It's so cute but also strong.
Also one of those pokemon you'd rarely get a hold of or see someone with.
