- Can I beat a Pokemon Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge in Pokemon Renegade Platinum by Drayano?
Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
Always Set mode
No items from the bag option in battle (held items are ok)
No overleveling the next gym leader
No set up moves

I never thought it’d be possible for Barry to take out any of Mars and/or Jupiter’s Pokémon in that double battle, let alone 2/3 of their entire team and borderline carrying you, but here we are

This run was really cool because the team was constantly changing throughout, the specific plans for each gym necessitating the use of all your pokémon really makes the stakes of death higher! Maybe my favourite hardcore nuzlocke yet!
The tension was palpable. Before the battle started, Barry placed his hand on Antlerboy's chest. Looks him in the eyes and says, "Don't worry, I got this."
Love watching this romhack! Would be super cool to see something like an inclement emerald or radical red run in the future!!
Inclement emerald is a lot easier imo, would definitely go with that one first. Still a notch above Renegade Platinum, but RadRed is just ridiculous to nuzlocke
@@wedding2710I mean if it's in normal or easy mode it's the same level as inclement emerald but hardcore mode is just nonsense
@@SACREDGAMER9116 I found normal mode Radical Red to be significantly more difficult than Inclement Emerald. Only the first 30% of IE posed a real challenge, after that I just cruised through the game without changing my team at all. Radical Red forced me to change my team for nearly every major fight
Big fan of the MtG legendary creature names. That's how I normally choose names in RPG's.
Playing magic the gathering i liked too even if i would have prefered names that fit better the pokemon.
Usually for naming pokemon i chose characters from novels or mangas.

Hey man, great stuff, I would to see how you'd tackle more fan made games, like pokemon rejuvenation and reborn, they are noturiously hard, with different mechanics (like field effects) and you can make a whole series out of it, as both games are quite lenghty

i don’t know if you know this but swift swim huge power etc don’t buff the base stats but double your current stats so the calculation is a bit different. if ludicolo WAS max speed it always outsped electrode inside of rain, electrodes max speed being 438 while ludicolo in rain is about 520.
if you were to transfer this into base stats ludicolo’s base speed would be around 190 while electrodes base speed is 150.
Checked the calcs based of the stat docs ofc but this is good to know!

GG, man! This Nuzlocke felt like the plot of an awesome anime, where losses hurt hard, and plot twists keep teammates hanging on by a thread! It adds a lot of emotional attachment; I like it!
