On Oct. 23, 1989, every parent in Minnesota started hugging and loving their children much more. Jacobs hope is STILL going strong!

I watch a lot of TED talks and this, is by far, one of the best I have ever seen!!! What an incredible and brilliant woman. A story about soul destroying grief, loss, hope and using such a tragedy to do so much good in the world. I wish Patty nothing but love, strength, healing and peace from Country Victoria, Australia. ❤️❤️❤️❤️💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 🇦🇺 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

This was really painful to listen to. I can't even imagine the pain and gried she went through.😢

This woman and her family are so strong. I don’t know how they can go on for almost 27 years not knowing where their son is or who took him or the worst, not knowing if he’s even still alive. This world is full of sick people. Today’s kids are so sheltered and can’t live the childhood our parents and grandparents lived because of these sick people. Anyone who does crimes against children should get life in prison without parole!! They never change!! And there should not be a statute of limitations for crimes against children either.

I will take with me that vision of a young boy pushing a shopping cart filled with possibilities. Thank you for providing Hope to all those who are suffering with you 🙏 . As a retired teacher, the teaching of respect, and more so the modeling of respect is a primary lesson not found in any text book.

I want to thank you for sharing, also give you my condolences for your loss that's something that I could never recover from... As a mother I don't have it in my heart to watch this video... It hurts me so deeply, sending love.

I think it starts with understanding that you are special and important yourself. It will help you to see how special and important your children are. And than you can teach them that they are worthy and fight for them like this mother did. And yes it hurts, but it's completely worth it. Jacob is.
We need to open our harts and be vulnerable and get hurt. Again and again. We need to do this in order to shape the world into a better place with our love. It will (seem to) cost a lot of energy and bravery, but we don't need to be scared. We will never run out of love. There will always be more.
