    I have a few of the original KO’s. They’re a good little machine. I use them commercially and have not had any major issues. The MK2 is addressing some of the minor issues especially on the blade and tool grinder attachment. I just would like to see a 1x30 model.

    Every time sales start to wane then you need to come up with a reformulation or a more deluxe professional model. Meet the new Ken Onion... This is just speculation but I would imagine sharpening the same knife on each of them would get similar results.

      The creation of the KO2 is the result of listening to what our customers have told us they want in a powered sharpener, Ken's input on what he is excited to do next, and updating a sharpener that has been out for 10 years.
      That said, the original Ken Onion is still plenty capable for sure, the updated model just offers more of what people have been asking for. (Even more precision, versatility, and control)

    I bought one of their sharpeners. The belts last about 30 seconds before they need to be replaced. They make most of their money on the belts, which can not be bought elsewhere.

      @WorkSharpOutdoor  Před 4 měsíci

      Our customer service team would be happy to help with that! Our belts should last about 100 sharpening's before needing replacement depending on what you are using them for. Still happy to help if you need it! Send and email to info@worksharptools.com to get a conversation started.

      @@WorkSharpOutdoor I'm sure they would! That's your business model. Sell sharpeners to lock your customers into buying your proprietary belts.
      Nope. I've moved on.

      I’m not saying the Work Sharp belt system great but it’s pretty good and I can get a lot of knives sharpened on the belts. When the fine grit belt is worn I put stropping compound on it and use it more. I did have a belt break on me but that was only once and very unusual as I’ve used the machine hundreds of times with good results.

      If the belt only lasted 30 seconds you are using it wrong. Maybe you are the problem, not the machine?

    Next year, they'll have "new attachments" available for this and the following year, a completely new machine, rinse & repeat. LoL

      This! It's happened with all their systems. I've moved on but will keep what I have until they break.

      Go live your life, forget about it.😅 if people were still strong enough we wouldn't need super sharp machines that do nothin for nothin.
