IU is really loved by korean, she's the most sucessful female singer in South korea in this generation. she's called 'Nation's sweetheart' and 'nation's little sister' by korean. i'm not saying this cause i'm her fans but you really can't hate her, she's talented, pretty, kind, and has a beautiful heart (just like our bangtan). so whenever i see BTS and IU it's like my 2 worlds collide💜

That part where she said she never performed at Olympic stadium gave me chills. Since filming this it was announced she is about to make history as the first female solo artist to have a concert there. So proud of her.

This makes me realize no matter how many things I know about BTS, there is still something new that I didn't know about them and this interview prove it. And it is such a deep and personal connection that I feel between the two maybe because IU is an artist and able to understand JHope's position and the meaning behind his lyrics more than us as fans especially when they talk about safety zone. I hope both of them will find their "safety zone" one day.
IU is a great lyricist herself, and hearing so many compliments from her really means a lot to J-Hope!

IU is like the daughter of Korea. She is probably the most popular and respected artist inside Korea and in the general public. She is been in the industry for 14 years. She also writes her own songs so She respects J-Hope alot.IU is also a very big actress and her dramas like My Mister and Hotel Del Luna are some of my favourite Kdramas of all time. And also her album Pallette is one of my favourite K-pop albums of all time. It has so many hit songs.
This is the first I've heard of her. She seems lovely. I can't wait to explore her music too.

yessss! IU is my fav soloist. she has A LOT of great songs. in her recent album, theres a song called "my sea" a very emotional song. hold my hand, knees, raindrop, through the night, love poem. sheeesh the list will definitely go on and on if i dont stop ahahhah u guys should check her out!
+ fun random fact; IU concerts are hella long. she usually have loooong encore. the concerts did go for 5 hours plus minus. idk the longest concert she did but i know shes done 5 hours i think ahahha
im genuinely amazed with this woman. also at the end of her every video, she always put the short clip of missing children.

IU is a multi-talented queen! Aside from being a legendary singer, she is also a really great actress. She is actually my favorite Korean actress so I'm recommending some of her works just in case you want to get into some Korean movies/dramas: My Mister, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart and Hotel Del Luna. For her songs, honestly everything is amazing but my faves are Palette, Lilac and Through the Night.😊😊

IU is a legend and such a very charming lady. She's got a beautiful voice, and she's as genuine as Hobi. I think their interaction was lovely. It's hard to say which one of them is more adorable... No, I'm lying. It's totally J-Hope! I like that they performed "Equal Sign" together, because IU's stances and statements on the world match Hobi's pretty closely. I agree with you that they need to collab. They sound amazing together.
IU "love poem" is one of the best song ever to answer your question of the day. It's so sentimental and strong in a way (to deliver sad feelings and allow grieve)

The funny thing there is that she failed JYP audition and to this day JYP regrets letting her go.

IU is both an amazing singer and actress. She starred in a lot of k-dramas like Dream High, Hotel De Luna, Scarlet Heart etc. She's very very popular and loved in Korea, she's one of the most successful solo singer out there and her song is always on top of the charts. She started her career way back (idk what year). All her songs are good but "Blueming" and "Pallette" are my favorite. And she's very kind and sweet too. :)
I KNOW IU EVEN BEFORE BTS , i saw her on Kdrama DREAMHIGH and fell inlove into her character. When I found out that JK likes her I went crazy Im a huge fan of IU 💜 especially when I saw her song GOOD DAY she's a legend in kpop industry and Kdrama too

I first listened to IU before I knew BTS. I was so into kdrama before and had no idea about BTS. After watching her series Hotel del Luna and Scarlet Heart, I was intrigued about her and that's when I knew she was a singer. My fave song(s) (QOTD) of her are Hold My Hand (it's an OST of a kdrama I haven't watched; and her live performance on this during her concert was so good, you can check it out on her channel), Bleuming, and Lost child (which I believe Jungkook sang on one of his auditions), and (of course) Eight with prod SUGA!!!
So my introduction to BTS was actually IU after I saw fanmade clips of lil Jungkook having a crush on her..haha...which in turn led me to 7 more guys I would never thought I'd fall insanely deeply in love with... Then I lost track on her latest songs since I was so into BTS now and I forgot about my fondness about her..lol. That's why I was sooooo emotional when I was notified of her interview with JHOPE (my bias after Jimin. LoL) that day when it was released....You can't imagine how many times I watched this interview and I still find myself crying while giggling. LoL

In my opinion, IU is one of the most similar artist to BTS in terms of their discography and message. It's really hard to choose a favorite song of her but I definitely suggest Knees, Hold my Hand , Blueming and Love Poem 💜
BTS got inspired by IU to have freedom and depth in their music and lyrics. Thats why RM said “IU is the #1 Kpop Star in Korea”. She paved the way of idols having freedom from agency control when it comes to their arts. IU’s agency almost at bankruptcy and she saved it. BTS followed to keep chasing their dreams💜 Collab one day pls

IU was one of the first kpop artists I had ever listened to when I started listening back in 2009 so watching this interview is so heartwarming because it feels like this whole kpop journey is coming full circle as she interviews hobi! I love this interview a lot!

I remember she fought her agency to release Autumn Morning at 7am when chartings are dead and resets. Still got PAK awards. Then released Strawberry Moon at midnight, charts are dead too, PAK. Jack in the box is an incredible album, I love that album so much just as I do with 'Mono' and I consider Mono a whole masterpiece and probably one of my or my favorite playlist/mixtape/album or whatever.🙌🏻 Hoseok killed it in Lollapalooza. My favorite song is Palette but I love that her whole discography is like journals of how she felt at that age and you can hear in her songs as she has grown up and feels more confident. She may seem like a shy ballad singer but she has made duets with so many artists of different genres. She also turns into a whole different person when acting, favorite IU drama is Hotel de Luna. She is not afraid to talk back to haters in her songs like Bbibbi and she will not take the online attacks her agency sues them for them for their malicious comments. She has been in the spotlight for so long she has a lot of experience, she debuted at age 15 and was a teen sensation.
My top 3 fave songs of IU are Dear Name, Through the Night and You and I. Also worth listening are Peach, Good Day, Someday and BBIBBI

as you were introduced to IU through BTS, i was introduced to BTS through IU (she did a cover of spring day). she really is the first kpop idol i've ever stan. i think most of her songs were ballad and her songs really was all about the lyrics (her lyrics was really poetric). through the night and pallette is really my favorite out of all her songs.
