You make me wanna build an airplane sooooooo bad! 😝😁🤪🤣👍👍🇺🇲
It’s such a great experience!
Such a wonderful build series! Thanks so much for taking the time to make this.
You’re welcome! That’s why I did it, because it didn’t exist
Dennis. Good to see you and Parker again. I've never done the rib stitching. The reason I did not has to be chalked up to laziness. You, sir, have the patience - like always. Thanks. N6395T
Hey Michael!
It’s always great to have Parker around to help me problem solve!
I thought the stitching would be a nightmare but you’ve made it look really easy. Good job (he says as if he was an expert)!
It is much easier than I expected as well. The curved needle to work around the drag braces was the most challenging part.
Looking good thanks Dennis!
Thank you Leo!
Looking good. It gets easy when you get into the flow, it always takes me a couple of ribs to get fully into the swing.
I agree!
That safety wire tip was a life saver!
@@DTMinimax it has saved me a couple of times.
I love it when your son gets to help build your project. It will forever be something y'all spent time doing together. Love that.
It’s such a blessing to get to spend time with him like that! He will also enjoy flying it!
Throw the wings on, lets go for a test flight around the block once or twice.
I saw that video of the guy driving his Minimax around the block, all I could think of was how many things could have gone wrong
@@DTMinimax I didn't know that video existed.
Hi Dennis, hoping the next update is coming soon.
Just uploaded Anthony!
Hello Denise. I was in Walmart and bought several of the syringes that you use for measuring epoxy. I have not used them yet but would like to know how you clean them after use. Thanks
Not sure if my reply got through…I didn’t have to clean them out at all, just replaced them once. As long as you’re using one for hardener and one for resin you’ll be good.
Hello again Denise. I have been reviewing all the build videos. It’s getting warmer here in Michigan and work will soon resume on my 1100r. I was wondering since you have your airframe complete and engine complete have you done a preliminary weight and balance and CG calculation?
Hey Michael, that’s not something I’ve done. Since there is quite a bit of wing behind the CG it would be challenging to get some numbers without being fully assembled. As soon as my number comes up for a hangar, it won’t be long after that.
Hi. Do I understand correctly that if the glue peels off, the thread will stay on the ribs? Is that why you sew wings?
The glue is sufficient on this airplane to hold everything together. That is the reason, if you didn’t stitch and for some reason a rib let’s go, you lose your airfoil which will only compound real fast.
