I feel ya, man. I've been struggling with my writing projects as of late, especially when it comes to which ones to invest time into first. I'm also aware of what it feels like to have your time taken up too. (being that I'm both an uncle and a dog owner.). Don't feel pressured to meet a deadline for our sake, this is your channel, you make the choices, you make the decisions, and I won't hold you to a candle if you don't upload on time. I've struggled to meet deadlines in the past and it can honestly be a difficult hurdle to overcome that comes with a lot of stress in the long run. Whatever you decide to do, I'll be in full support of you. You're an inspiration to me, James. As a nostalgic individual myself, it's always fun to learn about your thoughts on shows and how much they've dipped in quality over the years. Plus, your switch videos are up there with your series reviews, imo.
In regards to 2022. That year was arguably the worse one of my life. I'd lost several friends due to complications surrounding fall-outs and misunderstandings. Both of my drives were accidentally wiped clean, reducing years of writing and artwork to nothing. Plus, I was banned from Furry Amino, my longest-running account after seven years of being active. It hurts to remember, tbh.

Anyone who pressures you to make videos can go and watch someone else. Like you say in your introduction, you are stressed and overworked with your own ideas. I feel you. Don't force yourself.
Hi James, I’d hate to say blunt things but this is my way of saying I care about you. Having project promises can put more stress on your life (and I’ve been there myself) and you need to find balance. Yes there are jerks demanding to know when a new video will come every now and then but they need to understand how you and I work to keep food on the table. If it helps, I keep a weekly planner on me to write out what I can work on throughout each week, along with taking care of personal things such as your dog. If you want some other tips and ideas, my door is open.
Wow. I'm so sorry that you have been through so much these past few years and that you are still going through a lot and hating it. I know how frustrated it is to try and ge something done at a specific date and time, especially if other things come up as well. It's frustraitng. I've been watching you since 2017 and enjoy your content since. I know there isn't anything I can physically do to change anything or make anything better, but all I will say is not to forget to take time to breathe. This is *exactly* how my channel is like as well. It's god awful how we expect ourselves to finish something with a deadline (or estimate), then have shitty life stuff in the way.
I would say something inspirational, but that would be me being the everyday comment. I say do what you want to do, at any speed you want fr.
And if someone says to hurry up (or to make anything), tell them to shut the f*ck up.
It's your channel, your rules.
As a person who watched your content for 5 years, I hope you get the relief that you need. Working on something can be a struggle, especially if it’s something big, like a review or even an animation that can last for more than an hour, and some people can only go so far with their patience before they call it quits.
If your more recent content is good, I will probably appreciate you for your efforts, no matter how big they are, but sometimes, it’s best to push the brakes on something whenever it gets too much to handle.

I understand your pain, James. Last year wasn't a good year for me either. I always procrastinated on video making. Add on constant schoolwork, exams, and family struggles, and you have a long period of time in which new videos were not being released. I wish you the best of luck and please, take a break if you need it. The community will find it in their hearts to understand.
Sorry this keeps happening to you, James. I know video making is a pain in the neck when you want to put as much effort as you can. I kinda go through the same phase you do when it comes to video ideas I posted at the beginning of every new year, but then lose motivation to do it later on.
2022 wasn't the best year to do CZcams videos for myself. It took me almost entire year for me to review all twelve of my MLP FiM honorable mention episodes with burnouts in between. I've also been trying to experiment on making my AMVs be my own style and not look bland while watching them. I didn't get to exactly everything that I wanted to do because they were either pointless or I just lost the motivation to do them. 2022 may had its highest points in my life with graduating my senior year of high school, but I had mixed feelings about my CZcams content.
2023 is somewhat alright so far with how I am doing great work with my Bob the Builder videos I have put out so far because I wanted to shed some light by talking about a series where it once was popular, but is not talked about that much. And I have a much better microphone to project my voice a lot more clearly and something for me to access a lot easier if I have to record lines for people or whenever it is a script for a video. My original mic was total crap that I actually cringe listening to it when looking back at some of my previous videos that I might or might've not put effort into them.
So, I understand with what you are going through and take your time on making these videos as best as you can do with them. All I have to say is... Take care, James.

Piece of advice about the EG Adventures series: if you feel the need to scrap it altogether and relieve yourself of the immense stress of animating and missing deadlines, just do what you have to do. I would suggest talking it through with the voice actors/actresses first. I'm sure they'll understand perfectly given the circumstances.

Also, if there’s any consolation, you’re not the only one who traces images for your own content. When I worked on a Welsh animated web series called The Vale, the original creator traced over some images of Ebbw Vale to make the backgrounds, as well as tracing over some keyframes for some creatures I designed for the latter part of the series, in order to match the pixelated style and aesthetic of the series. I sometimes trace over my own original photography and even stock too when need be.
I know the feeling. Ever since I started doing animations in 2020. Burnouts have come and eaten me ALIVE.
Like I’ll start working on a new video and get a fair bit of it done. But then 2 days after I’ll refuse to touch it for a solid month or two. Then when i DO get back into it. I’ll forget what I was supposed to do which opens a whole other can of worms.

I know I'm three months late into this, but I'm sorry this happened to you. I think it's better for you to focus on one project or two. But it depends on the project. If the project is big, then I suggest doing one and have the other projects on hold for a bit

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. Obviously, we all know what burnout is, but to see you THIS stressed out is a whole new level.
If you're willing to take advice, here are my suggestions:
1. Use Trainz for your series. Even if it wouldn't fit the style, you could try rewriting them for a
visual medium.
2. Review one video game at a time.
I know you don't want to be like this forever, but please know your true fans are willing to stand by you no matter how long your videos take.

What I would do is not brainstorm any more project ideas until the current ones are completed or at least have significant enough progress. Place the current projects in a list somewhere on Word or whatever then mark any completed projects as done, until they are all completed. I have been going through a similar dilemma and this method has really helped me feel more relaxed and under control with things.

Dude! I know how you feel and I'm sorry for the trouble you've been going through! You don't need to pressure yourself to make all these videos day after day! You can take a break every now and then. It's always best to prefer quality over quantity. I've sometimes pressured myself to do things that I eventually get stuck on and I often talk to my parents if I need help on that. Just remember than the Internet is meant for creativity. I've enjoyed your reviews and you don't need to keep going on reviewing more stuff if it effects your life. You've got plenty of videos and you've done more than enough each day. If you want to take a break, just do it. Don't let any comments berating you to do more pressure you. Just tell them if you need a break. If they don't listen to you, then you should hide them from your channel. This is very good advice from someone who cares about you

Everyone needs a break from something at some point. Don't force yourself if it feels to painful. Your content is always interesting to watch no matter what obstacles are in the way.

I know how you feel, James. I have a friend in real life who sometimes pesters me about when I will upload any new remakes or content in general. I get stressed with stuff outside of the internet too, I don't give scheduled dates for my content myself usually, but I understand how you feel regardless. I find myself lacking the motivation to make videos or film any footage or voices for them and I get stressed with IRL stuff too. I don't care how long your videos take to make, I too take my time with making videos cause I prefer quality over quantity when I make my content as well. In conclusion, you can take your time when making quality videos and content in general.

I think I had a Bad Feeling about your amazing channel becoming inactive after that "I Cancel Myself After 10 Years" Video Leaving some projects like Sodor Stories and EG Adventures Unfinished or Inactive or Maybe even Cancelled, I really afraid of your channel shutting down once that said video, I get that you are being Burn-Out by Thom-Tober and other projects, But at least Exercise, Eat some Food, & drink some water inbetween making Videos, that always works.
