    Did my research before playing, included everything I found important. I couldn't find a video that included the different endings, or more than 490 points - so I included those endings + more, and over 500 points.
    You can have a maximum of 800 series points, but it requires more than one playthrough to collect all the IQ points. Once was enough for me.
    I could have gotten more points during this one and only playthrough. For example, knocking out the drunk guard instead of giving him the stein, but he was so nice to me, gave me info and was pretty helpless in his condition, so I felt like being nice :)
    As I never fought anyone and instead did the right thing to get out of all fights, AND couldn't find a video of someone who actually defeated him (normally you just give him the tickets they stole from the pocket from that dude), I decided to fight the toughest (I think) guy in the game, the ticket dude on the zeppelin. It was a really hard fight, and I just barely made it.
    I didn't like the controls. In Monkey Island 1 and 2, it was P to pick up stuff, C to close, T to talk, O to open, U to use, etc. In THIS game it was all a mess, like W to open, R to use, D to pick up, S to close, etc. So I remapped the keys so they were the same as in Monkey Island :P This game used keys for flight and fight as well, but they were all with the numeric keypad, so they COULD have used O for open, etc, but noooooope.
    Sucks that once again (like in Monkey Island 1) they used very few colors when the Amiga have way more. They used like 15 colors, bleh. Guess it's to lower the amount of floppies needed and loading time, bleh. I had a hard drive back then dammit! (and 8mb fast mem) Most people probably didn't. Maybe there were no hard drives for the Amiga 500 when this game came out? Too lazy to do the research. Still... the Amiga had WAY more colors.
    This game was sensitive to the setting I used in the emulator. As I don't play with sound on, I didn't notice them until later. I fixed some of them. It's either a quick hiccup or beep sounds. One of the hiccups happens at 10:14. But 99% of the video is flawless, I think. So no biggie :)
    01:10:11 - Alternative ending 2. Lets Elsa take it, I take it back and give it to the Knight.
    01:11:23 - Alternative ending 3. I once again let her take it, then I take it back, but I try to leave with it instead of giving it to the knight.
    01:11:50 - Alternative ending 4. Lets her take it, but I don't get the grail back, instead I just leave.
    01:12:24 - Showing how to start the plane. There's no take off animation, you just end up in the air like after you leave the zeppelin. I recorded a longplay of this game many years ago, back then I took the plane, so the zeppelin ride + stuff after that was never shown.
    01:12:58 - If you don't take off in time, you and your dad escapes to the zeppelin.
    01:13:24 - You can practice boxing in the very beginning of the game, so I show some of that. Doing it on the easiest as I've already shown I can beat the hardest difficulty when I took out the ticket dude. On easiest, I can win by just holding down one of the attacks, but here I block and stuff instead. I closed the door cuz I felt like it.
    01:15:04 - Some of the deaths. Already showed one before, alternative ending 3. -

    Excellent point & click, if not as good as Monkey Island which kind of set the standard for what such adventures should be. I really didn't like the fight mechanics; the manual said they included action since Indy is mostly physical during the movies, but I felt the fighting was done really badly. I didn't solve all the puzzles, but I managed to avoid most fights and my best IQ score without a guide was "good." I didn't know you could keep Elsa alive with 500 points or more

    • @Jac2Mac
      @Jac2Mac Před 8 lety +1

      ***** Very interesting indeed, and I think it may also be copy protection where if you fail the copy protection at the start of the game, then you can't beat the choose the right grail puzzle at all.

    • @iamironclaw
      @iamironclaw Před 8 lety

      Jac2Mac
      Yeah, it's a copy protection thingy, which I thought of when I wrote the above comment, but just went with a bad crack instead.

    • @RoqueFortStu
      @RoqueFortStu Před rokem +1

      the printed diary, included with the game, has ten possible descriptions of the grail. In the Venice catacombs (if you find the correct location) there are inscriptions which will narrow the grail down to two possibilities; one will say the grail glows, the other says not. Later, in the Brunwald castle vault, there is a large painting of the holy grail, which will either be glowing or not, so then you will know the correct one. All irrelevant if it's bugged as an anti-piracy measure, but a bit silly that they should let you almost reach the end!

    • @pierbat5736
      @pierbat5736 Před rokem

      Never completed due this silly thing... If you forget to read the inscriptions in Venice , you won't be able to choose the right Graal. Best game ever btw
