- I really hope you enjoy! This was actually filmed at my old high school that I recently graduated from. Was super weird being there with everything being so quiet and empty
Chapters:
00:00 intro
00:10 Walktest
05:17 Bell Test
Sub to nick Derek he taught me how to make walktest work
This is neat. I saw the thumbnail and thought “this looks like the old school”. It must bring memories back walking around the place
It was so trippy. Especially going into restricted areas like the kitchen and mechanical rooms. Super super cool
Simplex's voice is so epic. I love this voice.
Those speaker strobes are NICE!!
5:21 Bell Test.
I Love Simplex Speaker Strobes.
the system is simplex but the speaker strobes and outdoor strobes are by wheelock, although the speakers outside and indoor remote strobes are by simplex
There Not As Loud As The Horn Strobes.
Simplex But The Alarm Are Actually Wheelock.
@@jacobisworld9516 That's good, my school has a fire lite system with a fire lite ecc50, the speaker strobes are SPSRLs, SPSCRLs and one SPSRK, the remote strobes are SRLs
I think it’s almost time for this system to get replaced with notifier and newer Wheelock.
The outside speaker/strobe should be replaced with an outdoor rated speaker strobe with a cover over it like the ones in the building
i think that's a weatherproof speaker at least the backbox is as you can see atlas speakers are very loud
What you did here is one of the reasons I wanna work for Simplex (they service my old highschool I just graduated from).
Cool, 4050-80!
I like it.
Very interesting white alarm setup! Pretty cool white 4904 seen at 10:13. I'd assume it's either a 9138 or 9141.
How Did It The Strobes Just Flash The First Time. Then The Second Time The Alarm Tone Sound/Voice Message/Strobe Light.
Testing channel number 1 (for mono actually it a model not to be confused with the channel sound) or zone number or nac number to device number
Were the speaker/strobes there when you were a student or did they get installed recently?
What were the fire alarm activated shutters hiding when you were heading into the second gym? The elevators?
it was another hallway. idk why they were locked
Can you do Carroll Middle School in Fort Wayne, IN
Did those ever replace any old alarms or where they installed when the school was built the simplex pulls look old
The school opened in 1997. This is the original system from when it was built
I can see Wheelock or simplex didn’t really care about synchronization back then. Were these LSM strobes made before the ADA regulations came in around the late 90’s?
I love the classic Simplex message but it doesn’t really make much sense in a place like this. I know it is a lot harder on an older panel like this but they should have done what they did at my school. It is a 4100u and the message says “There is a fire emergency in the building. You are to leave the building by the nearest exit.” I think that would have made this system a lot more effective during emergencies.
What tone does it use?
The modern 4100u/es whoop.
It just alternates between the whoop and the message over and over again forever. Not like this one where after it plays the message once it just whoops forever.
@@aerhardt it actually plays it three times after two slow whoops at the beginning. My dad had two buildings where he used to work that had voice capable 2001s that did the same thing except the speaker strobes were the simplex life alarm speaker strobes with the triangular strobes
@@GaryBeltz Yeah that’s what I meant.
That’s really cool. I have never been in a building with a voice capable 2001.
BUSSSSSS 💋 (this is kenan btw)
Glad the stoppers were shut off. Those things are annoying but they definitely do their job
they all had bad battery except for one. So when I opened the working one I had a heart attack
@@FourtyFiftyEighty lmao. Yeah if I was walking the halls during HS and I heard a stopper, I knew I was about 10 seconds away from getting my ears blasted by gentex commander 3s
Sounds like Star Trek.
Wipe boogie 3:48
There are strobe here on glass 10:14
hey
You Are Doing A Fire Alarm Inspection At Your High School
It's just like how NIC'S SYSTEMS AND ELECTRICS does fire alarm inspections at his high school except that he works with his school districts journeymen electricians
😃 emoji 3:20
Nothing is working? Sad! Or I don't understand, sorry!
6:17 What is that noise?
Yeah I’m wondering the same thing
@@loren4777 I think it's an emergency exit door alarm going off
@@joeycaridi3030correct
Did someone go through it?
@aerhardt I think the panel automatically dropped the lock for the fire exit, which likely tripped the door alarm.
I love that voice Evac but the code 3 is cooler
It's an old 4100 system that's the old style slow whoop in the 4100u and newer has a slow whoop without pauses although imho I don't don't think it's slow
Magnetic testing doesn’t qualify as functional testing of smoke detectors
Yes it does. Idk the exact code but UL listed methods to test smoke detectors without using smoke are perfectly fine. The actual chambers get tested during sensitivity testing as well
