I really enjoy Jess Harris, a Scottish accountant who makes videos about her life in London (with gorgeous food, travel and beauty bits) , and Birta Hlin, an Icelandic girl who lives in Copenhagen and does fashion (mostly vintage but very cool), lifestyle, travel etc. Two fresh faces, other than the usual suspects. I'm glad everyone is coming back to CZcams because I never really left 😂.
Your dopamine dressing inspired me! I love trying more color but I do stick out with all my black clothing wearing friends but it makes me happy to be bright and stand out from the crowd! Self awareness can be quite stunting as you’re always critical of yourself, well that’s my experience! 😂
I often try and have a virtual conversation with the part of the brain which says the self loathing things to me, I call them the judge. Convo goes something like “Judge, yes I’m aware that I do “x” but I don’t need you reminding me.. I’m trying to improve on that, nobody’s perfect. I’m making steps to be better at that.”
You are ALREADY self aware, you know your faults.. I just don’t let any third party (including the judgey part of my personality) make me feel any worse about the observation.

Been watching your videos for years and always appreciate how open and honest you are. I went through similar health issues a few years back, stuck in a cycle of antibiotics and utis and tonsillitis etc. i don’t usually comment but would highly recommend seeking a natural medicine practitioner. For me these issue didn’t get better on their own and over time the antibiotics made these issues more frequent and severe. Just a suggestion, take care!

Hey Lily! I almost never comment on your videos but I’ve probably been watching you for 10 years - my bf literally knows your name and voice as I’ve been playing your videos pretty consistently throughout our relationship. He sometimes asks ‘Is that Lily Pebbles?’ 😂 and I find it hilarious as he couldn’t care less about social media and influencers but he knows you! A few years ago when your lifestyle changed by having kids I stopped watching for a while as I couldn’t really relate anymore (I’m about 5 years younger than you). However, as I’ve entered my 30s, I am more settled and am now thinking of having babies of my own one day, I find myself drawn towards your vlogs once again. Isn’t it funny how life works? I guess you’ll always be a little ahead but by watching you I kind of know what’s coming next haha. And I enjoy it as I see that although you are a mom, you still have a life of your own. Anyway, just wanted to share this story. Now I’ll probably go back in my hole and not comment for another few years 😂❤

It is so funny they sell gazpacho in the UK. I live in Spain and people have it with chopped boiled egg on top. It's really nice ❤
That would be salmorejo, not gazpacho. They look very similar, but the first one has much fewer vegetables and more bread and olive oil in its recipe.

I had flashbacks to when my now teenager was around Greys age, I used to have Mega Boys sleepovers - with about 5 of his friends from school, their parents couldn't drop them off fast enough. My house was trashed the next day, but it was lots of fun (for them at least). Vlogs I watch are you, Anna, Lizzie, sometimes check in on Fleur and Melanie Murphy and I just found a new to me vlogger - Mollie Campsie.

I’m glad you didn’t cut that bit out of the video. It totally makes sense and I 100% agree with you. Most of the criticisms I’ve received, after getting over the whole getting defensive thing, we’re about things that I already was aware of and didn’t like about myself or it was moments where I was slacking and needed to hear it from someone else.
Hey Lily, I absolutely love colour theory and I think I’ve watched your video 3 times now! I’m definitely a light summer so all those pastels look good and the brights make me look awful. I seriously think my dream job would be to work for Farrow and Ball haha. I’m in the pregnant/mum stage that you were in and can’t really see past wearing leggings and a sweatshirt everyday but you’re inspiring me to be a bit more experimental (well, at least pink or green sweatshirts rather than grey!)

This was a great vlog. I like that it didn’t feel curated in anyway. The part where you had to take your bike through the house gave an interesting real life look at “London Life” it was something so small but very real.

personally , i’m more likely to click on a video if i know what it features, even if it’s a boring title haha.

It’s a bit of a minefield. Honest clickbait titles (eg not ones that literally have nothing to do with the video) do help to “intrugue” the audience a bit more and can often help encourage views from a new audience, descriptive titles are probably better for existing viewers (or a bit more user friendly). The problem with descriptive titles is my vlogs often include so many different things, I can’t list them all, and sometimes people are put off watching if there’s something in the title that doesn’t interest them.
The title and thumbnail of a video is honestly impossible to navigate for vlogs with many topics in the video.
