So in the clinch you have hand behind head and she has hand on biceps, is this because she’s shorter?

I'm 40 years old, just lost 3 stone in weight now 12 stone at 5 ft 7 Inch do a lot of swimming and a little cardio. Do you think mauy Thai would be ok for me to start doing. Or am I past it. Just want extra fitness and to be a little bit combat effective. I don't wanna be a kickboxing champ. 🤔

Of course. I train a fair few guys in their forties, and also in fifties and they are beasts for their age. They started in their 40s also. The main thing is to train minimizing unnecessary impact. Then you can last many, many years. Train with good partners who look after you, do heavy bags in moderation, make sure to warm up extensively and cool down before and after training so you're joints are lubed up and prevents injury. After 35 you can't get away with what you did in your youth. I'm 41, with a lifetime of contact and damage, and train in moderation with minimal impact and still do more than most 20 something year olds. Find a mature trainer that understands your needs.
