In the last story I know those spicy wing challenges are no joke and can in fact kill someone if they are not careful, which is why if wings are above a certain heat you need to sign a waiver stating the restaurant is not liable for damages. The OP never mentioned having to sign anything (meaning they should be safe) and these wings were way hotter than they had been previously... I may be wrong but I think this counts as food tampering which is a federal crime and the OP could probably sue the restaurant for this

Was literally going to comment the same thing. Sounds like the owner wasn't happy that the op took the challenge multiple times (which they never said was not allowed) and decided to increase the spice using a bunch of extract, which could be considered poisoning someone. Something similar happened on an episode of Man vs food and the host talked about it in a behind the scenes and how it was the worst experience he's had.
That last story, it sounds like the owner basically poisoned one of their customers ...
If they offer the challenge they have to expect to pay out and not incapacitiate a person in revenge!

Funny as that last story is, I’ve read other comments and gotta agree. That is surely illegal what the owner/waitress did. It wasn’t the wings from the challenge (what he ordered) and she didn’t have him sign anything for how bad a reaction those wings caused. Meaning he can legally sue that place for nearly poisoning him. He definitely opened himself up to the revenge but still
story 3: maybe the owner should've put a limit on the amount of times a person can take the challenge. that's her fault. and then she chose to punish OP for failing to consider the possibility people could game the system she failed to regulate. your failure to plan can't be taken out on someone else.
On top of that she (the owner) gave the op a reason for a possible lawsuit on them. That's tempering with food, as its not the hot wings advertised in the challenge nor did he sign a waiver before hand saying the restaurant is not liable.
The waitress/owner shouldn’t have made them that hot without telling op first that is essentially assault

Last story: Can we take a moment and appreciate the true VIP of the story? The girlfriend? With OP being the hot mess he was, GF really stepped up (uncomplaining mind you) and helped OP clean not only himself but everything. She was sweet and loving as she did. She is the hero of the story.

I wonder what kind of hot sauce they used? This guy said he had tried just about every kind of pepper and handled it just fine. I've seen the "first we feast" vids with their hot wing challenge, i guess she might have gotten ahold of some of the really high-end stuff, but it looks more like she put rat poison on it or something.
I would've sued the restaurant and the owner separately to try and get as much money out of them as the possible perfect petty revenge
Story 2 - I would've been tearing into her EVERY DAY about that BS. Stay TF out of my stuff. Period. And no way in hell would she have a key to ANYTHING for any reason.

the amount of people who think any refusal of service just means the staff is being rude is ridiculous. the statement that the turkey was still alive was hilarious. just give her the address to a farm and say she'll need to drive there and bring a cage or an axe if she wants the turkey.
The owner on the last story need to be charged of tampering woth food as well as attempted murder. Qhen food is way too spicy, you can actually be lethally or majorly damaged depending on the spiciness and it sounds like it was like that.
yeah! it was the challenge ... but the stablishment is liable of getting sue if they poison one of their costumers as well just to be vindictive.

Lol. The last story reminds me of a camping trip. My brother had bad diarrhea and needed to use the restroom bad. He made it to the stall but sadly didnt get a chance to sit down. I felt bad for the staff who had to clean that up. I didnt see it but he told me the story. It was night so there werent many, if any, who witnessed it.
That owner could get themselves sued and lose their restaurant if OP decided to press charges, for something that intense OP would have had to have signed a waiver, they were LITERALLY POISONED for god's sake!

I'm pretty sure that the last story is a legitimate case of _food poisoning._ Food tampering is a very serious crime and the OP could have pressed charges and sued the establishment.
1st story: these people don't understand that any other person in the world matters. Her feelings are more important than someone's job. She will literally never know if said person actually was fired but she just wants to be told they will.

Parents going trough kids stuff is one of the most damaging things to do. My mother isn't abusive and in general she's a good mother, but when I was 11-13 she kept going trough my school stuff, even counting pages on my journal (we had a school journal where they wrote our grades, notes, etc) to make sure I didn't cut those off. I had nothing to hide, but it gave me a lot of anxiety and I couldn't even sleep at night. I don't know why she felt the need to do that, she also wanted to check my homeworks too. (I don't want to brag, but I'm a really good student. I finshed high school with a score of 96/100 in my graduation exam. I wasn't as good in middle school bevause I had a lot of anxiety while being there but I still had better grades that anyone else in my class, so it really wasn't something she needed to worry about)

What the owner in the last story did , could sent him to the hospital, or worse. That was in no way how that should have been handled. She should have told him that he will be paying for the hot wings, since this isn't a challenge to him anymore. I think he OP has lawsuit on what the owner did. That was down right criminal.

I worked for a flower shop and had a similar nightmare customer. She wanted these exotic flowers for a wedding arrangement, but so did many other customers (these flowers were “in” that year).

Is that even legal for her the owner to make the challenge even hotter than how it was most likely advertised? I mean to make it hotter than the challenge normally is sounds like a lawsuit imo. Also since she waited on him each time he came and ordered them she obviously never remembered him from before so maybe he could wait awhile and come back to try again.
Last story: Being on the receiving end of this many times, I only have to laugh. I LOVE spicy food!!! I spent many formative years in the southwest of the US. I eat habaneros (I believe in some places they are called Scotch Peppers, I’ve only heard it, never spelled it, hope it’s right) as a side dish. I only say this because spicy foods do not bother me. Now wings are not my favorite meal, but on occasion I enjoy going out and eating them.
We got a new chain restaurant in our town and the name implies they specialize in wings. So the restaurant has been around awhile and nobody has died from salmonella so I go to it. I live in a small town. We don’t have “eat it for free” specials in restaurants because the owners know better. Well, this restaurant had a “eat the hot stuff special” and it was free. After my fourth or fifth trip to the restaurant to get a free meal, something changed……. Maybe they got a Carolina Reaper, before Carolina Reapers were engineered, but that meal was HOT!! And the next day was worse. I’ve never been back. I really enjoyed the sauce used on their challenge. But I won’t give business to a company like that. I would be completely happy paying for the meal. It was great, as far as wings go, but it’s the principle of it. If you advertise a special, it needs to be the same special for everyone. If you can’t offer everyone that special because it costs you too much overhead, don’t offer the special….

Hahaha! The last story happened to me when I came back home from Japan (I am latin and like spicy food). My brother often times uses pepper to spice up things so my sister (Who hates chili) eats them and it is mild. But they always use the bigger holes of the pepper bottle which is why a big bunch occasionally spills on food. For the first 3 months I was constantly puking or with stomach problems (I was in deep Anxiety and not yet medicated). One time, after a bad meal my brother takes mum and aunt out and tells me to take a spoon of sodium bicarbonate so I do, but my depression meds made me sleep. 15 minutes later I was all alone in the house. I rushed up to the ensuite and did not make it. Suffice to say, I cleaned up everything myself.
I feel that story number two would love to hear my story I’m thinking of writing on the am I the jerk subreddit. My parents were mentally abusive to me but my wife’s mother was to her. And people would probably love hearing the story of a hardheaded Floridian dealing with an abusive mother. You don’t need to worry about other people do you want you you go through life and the way you want it to be.
Story two,when the mom treated the person like that,the mom is like my brother,getting me into trouble,revealing my secrets, blaming things one me,(things like when he loses a game and he says”it’s your fault”even though I was not in the game)and also almost always want to ruin my day,too sensitive on games(like him being angry when he loses a game and then scolds me for nothing.

Third story is a classic case of an owner offering a challenge, then deciding that it's their right to make the challenge harder when they know that somebody can beat it. This is unfair and toxic behaviour. It's basically like being a gradeschool sore-loser. Just let the winner have their free wings, then make the challenge harder for everyone. It might mean that less people attempt it, but at least you keep your integrity
This might sound weird but I couldn't get a turkey for Thanksgiving this year so we had to use an alternative which was a chicken.

I have my partner who really wants this pair of new headphones that are quite expensive, so I've been working to earn enough money to buy them.
So the other day I asked (while at work) if she was busy or didn't want to talk (which I completely respect), a message she never answered for 12 hours to tell me later that she was busy and had little breaks through the day. I got a little mad because she didn't tell me in advance and miscommunication leads to misundertandings and told her that I've been working 20+ hours the last two days for her headphones and the only thing I asked was a message saying something. She then tells me "Hey I didn't ask you for the headphones" and many other things that only lead to me that I was working so hard for nothing. She played the victim and doesnt want to talk to me at all.

I'm sorry I would be calling that restaurant and telling them after what they did I'm considering suing because they definitely changed what they put on those wings. If you've eaten there several times and it never really bothered you and then they maliciously did that to you, they are definitely liable for some legal action.

I was reading all the comments on the last story about no waiver and suing the restaurant, but whatever happened to personal responsibility? If you are that experienced with spicy foods and know what can happen when you over do it just a little bit, then you should know you'll be in for a bad time finishing those monstrosities.
It's not like all this happened from the first taste. No, the OP made a conscious decision to ignore all the warning signs and willingly put himself into that position just to prove a stupid point. His greed got the best of him, and karma can be a cruel mistress at times. The one I pity in that story is the girlfriend for cleaning up the mess. She's a saint for volunteering to help.
Ok im trying to ignore it but now cant help notice it. there's something very different with your voice in this video as it sounds artificial or something. i understand that over time a persons voices changes but its fairly dramatic to me in this one. You are also saying either the last word, or last sound of each sentence with a flat tone which i cant help not focus on the most now. I have listened to you many times but this one in distinct enough for me to comment instead of just listening to the stories, which i will continue to do either way as i still enjoy your narration.
