Same I use to not understand when I entered into a manic state I’d literally be gasping for air as I spoke and babbling because I was so euphoric and then boom I would be cutting my arms and searching the house with a blade screaming at people to come out from behind the mirrors and the shadows and that’s just the tip of a very big ice berg . Meds help of course but the best advice I can give is live healthy lots and lots of exercise and long distance running helped get me and keep me stable for long periods of time. I fell into drug use which really messed me up and made my symptoms ten times worst. I’m currently trying to get stable again but I know I have a long road ahead of me. It’s such a hard thing for people to understand but thankfully people now recognize when I’m in a manic state and help bring me down safely but god it’s so hard sometimes it really is because you don’t feel human sometimes and the power of the mind is unimaginable . Sometimes it’s so loud it is unbearable but the good days make it all worth while and it does get better when you really put in the work avoid triggers and take care of yourself.
