All the work you are doing looks to be of great quality. I was going through the comments looking for the hardened experts saying this is of subpar quality like the other diy lathes on this platform. They Compare theses diy lathes the Chinese over priced pieces of junk that you have to fix yourself before you even use it, brand new out of the box mind you! Perhaps they are mad because they bought one of them and realised that they could have made one that was of exceptional quality like yours, given their vast experience of course. Excellent stuff mate and it just goes to show that you know what you are doing. Subbed!

This is a brilliant build. Best I have seen on CZcams so far. As you were conveying the math for the spoke angle, I became intrigued to follow along with your thinking on the layout of the two spokes. It turned out to be a combination of precise planning and winging it in the end. I thought the idea of turning the inner spoke radius to fit the inner disk was brilliant. But I am quite sure that this idea came to you after you had formed the outer spoke radius to fit the inside radius of the ring by hand. In hindsight, and I am sure you thought of this, you might have used the shaft fixture as a mandrel (?) to turn the outer radius of the spokes to fit the ring perfectly. As long as the welds holding the spokes to the shaft were strong enough to withstand the turning. (At about 28:00) I have always wanted to build my own metal lathe. I doubt i would be able to do it as well as you have.

Noże z węglika nie lubią sporadycznego traktowania emulsją. Albo lecisz na pełnym smarowaniu lub od początku do końca "na sucho". Poza tym świetna robota!
