I was hoping to never need to leave a pinned comment about this!!! But I feel itâs needed..
Our kids are wearing their seat belts!! Laine has to get up from time to time to get kids things or take them to the bathroom. But she also wears her seatbelt but was being ornery since I told her to. Thanks for your concern. But we will not allow rude comments about seatbelts nor will we get into a debate or allow a debate to be had on our channel. We will delete those comments if needed. Thanks everyone and hope yâall understand!
Couple of things I'd like to mention, you should have Tire Minders on the Jeep if you don't already, Lyf did and their brake or something on their toad caught fire....if they didn't have their Tire Minders, the MH could have caught fire.
Gas station....if you start the sale at the pump over, you'll be able to fill up.
Lane, I use to get up and walk around, never again! đą
My husband had to brake, he did it lightly but I went flying!!! I was badly injured.
Please stay safe.
GOD Bless You Both and your Family! đđđ
Your channel your rules.
I drive a school bus. Iâm the only one that even has a seatbelt.
I would like a video on towed set up when you have a minute.
We have an electric kettle. Boils water super fast.
Loftis Party of Six - weROAM thatâs ridiculous that u would even have to say that. Wow people stop being unnecessarily inconsiderate.
@@carlaj38 I only said what I said because I read that some older class As did not have any front seatbelts..meaning Mom and Dad could not use them because they were not there at all!!! My mistake for having incorrect information, so I am sorry!!!! đ I have 6 kids and also too would likely get up to check on kids. Last summer, I had a disc rupture in my neck out of the blue requiring emergency surgery, so safety has become a more important concern for me, now. But, even so I dont question their parenting skills, they are excellent parents! I was questioning the actual companies who dont install sestbelts in vehichles, even buses...I feel like people then at least have a choice to use or not use. Loftis Family, please accept my apology....
It was not my intention to be rude, just different rules in my country I guess. Drive safe! Love to watch your journey!
Geesh...all the seat belt comments! Just watch the darn video and enjoy! They are responsible adults and will be just fine! Love watching you guys and enjoy being a part of your journey!
I KNOW!!! đ€Ż. Thank you so much!
Couldn't agree more!!! đ
Hope we don't see them flying through the windshield
I love your videos. Feel free to delete any post that gives unsolicited advice of any kind. 99.99999% of the rest of us don't want to read them.
Thank you! We appreciate that!!

Y'all do an excellent job of recording EVERYTHING that went into this trip! Felt like I was right there with you! My dad worked for Winnebago and every summer for 2 weeks they would let us use a motorhome for free! Great memories that your videos brought back. It really is the journey, not just the destination! Cant wait to see more of y'all!
Thank you so much!! Glad your enjoying our videos!!
So this is what itâs like to be a millionaire ? Wow, very cool. Canât wait to be there one day

Just when you think that Laine is one of the most southern people that you know, you see her eating cornbread crisps đ Love her!
đ yep and they are amazing
In Germany, we ever use Seat Belts!
Iâm glad you still have comments enabled, so many of the family channels have comments disabled by CZcams,. I had a class B for a few years, the rattling drove me crazy, I had to keep stopping to locate the rattle.
Yes we are too.. it was disabled for a day but I was able to turn it back on. đyeah Iâm one of those rattle finders too but didnât on this trip.
How nice! You make me want a "class A" ... and four kids ... well not really (Haha) I love you guys and I'm very happy for you! Thanks for the video and God bless you on your journeys.
Thank you
Oh my God I love the videos and God bless all your family I hope one day I have a class A.
Thank you đ
Wishing you all safe travels in our home state Colorado! âĄ
Thank you so much đ
@@LoftisPartyofSix we will be back around late this fall and I'll stay in touch in case our paths might cross
I know this video is s couple years old, but it is such a delight to see you travel with your sweet family. We are retired and travel with our travel trailer. However we are selling our 2019 Ford F-250 platinum diesel and our travel trailer to buy a class A diesel. Be safe in your travels.
I've heard to use child locks on the fridge etc for travel days. And wear your seatbelt!!! Happy travels!
Thank you!!
This was my first thought, too! We picked some up on Amazon for a freezer that wasn't sealing any more until we could buy a new one!
Great video, nothing like a mountain pass when youâre a class A newbie to get your blood pumping! Good job. Safe travels yâall and God bless.
For sure!! Thanks Doug!!
The latest research supports controlled braking. You're supposed to use it in context of the 5-3 method. For other readers, 5-3 is when you determine your safe speed (35 mph) brake with enough pressure where you're only applying constant pressure for 3 seconds to bring you 5 mph below your safe speed (30 mph). Wait for your truck to reach that safe speed again (35) and repeat the 5-3 method. That's controlled braking.
Some old timers still use constant pressure and swear by it.
No matter how you do yours you always have to have air or your gong to get in to trouble real fast.. Your brakes WILL lock up when you run low on air. So if your stabbing the brakes to much over a long down hill your where more or less geared to high when you started.if you loose I would go in to the old timers way and press and hold 5 lbs and give you compressor time to make up the loss or bring that rig to a stop before it takes off on you..
I love watching all of your adventures! We have been watching y'all for several months, and y'all have helped to encourage us on our own journey. When I watched your video of why you decided to go on the road, I was like, AMEN! AMEN! We have the same mindset as y'all. We are starting our own RV travel journey in just a couple weeks. So thankful that y'all share your experiences. It's so encouraging! Keep on, and be safe! God bless y'all.
Thank you!! We wish yâall the best on your journey too!!
I would recommend you use adjustable spring rods in the fridge to help stop things from spilling out of the fridge. Put several rods on each shelf. Put a throw or small carpet strip in front of fridge just in case something spills, especially liquids. It will be easier to clean the rug instead of all over the flood. In addition if the kids guard doesn't work all that well use a couple of velcro strips to hold freezer and fridge doors and attach to a magnet on the side. Best of luck ya'll.
Great tips! Thanks
We traded our class c for a class a Tiffan pulling a jeep. Exact same setup as you guys. I totally agree it is wonderful. Thank you for info on using the generator for ac it did get warm inside. Thank you guys so much. Safe travels!!!
Thank you đ
Awe I loved this sweet video! The class A is a sweet ride! Have fun, praying for safe travels! Thanks for sharing! â€ïž
Thank you
Hi guys. Slow down enjoy the ride. And snap that set belt
I'm lovin your videos... Been binge watching them!!!! Beautiful family! đ
Thank you đ
I so wanted to do this with my kiddo's, but alas..
What an adventure!
Don't know if anyone mentioned it yet, but from a truck driver a trick to help cool the Engine is turn off ac before the climb and if the temp is getting to high turn the heater on full blast, on defrost and open the windows. Unless you have an electric window defrost for the windshield
Thanks.. I had all that off on the way up the mountain. But I didnât have the heater on. Thanks for the tip.
@@LoftisPartyofSix hopefully it helps. I know it helped me keep the temps under control in my semi
Yes, Someone told us that before & it works. We also were in Colorado at the time.
Yes! I have done this in my school bus too lol
i can watch your channel and i always smile! So blessed! thanks for making my day and sharing your journey!

Thanks for watching đ
Loftis Party of Six - weROAM of course. Can't wait to see what yuns do next lol
You might try having a muffler shop add an exhaust tip that angles down. Not straight down as that might cause to much back pressure, but angled slightly toward the outside and down away from your jeep.
Mine does angle down but not to the outside. Thanks
@@LoftisPartyofSix Ah, I see wonder if its possible to just route to the side corner? It might get worse as you head west into hotter temps. Oh, and this might be antithetical to conventional wisdom on climbing hills, but if you have the power, try climbing at a faster speed (and if you're comfortable). Slower speeds also = more time climbing, heat soaking the engine and trans, where a faster - shorter climb time might prevent over-heating. Whatever works best for you and your machine :)
Iâm still trying to figure it out because it overheated 2 times today on Hwy 191 going to Rock Springs. It was a long uphill and I had plenty of power but engine was getting overheated so I pulled over to let it cool off.
@@LoftisPartyofSix Yep, you'll have to experiment with speed and throttle. Any load you can move to the genny while climbing is better. With its engine in the back, it works and breathes a little different than your truck. Might take some time to figure out what works best. You'll get there :)
And.....yâall are off! Enjoy every minute!đ
Thank you đ
Class Aâs are great when you have kiddos When you are towing anything itâs the slack action that makes it so noticeable.
This was a great video thank you very much
Thanks for watching!!
I have a residential fridge in my 5th wheel, and it opened up and spilled out everything on my first trip. Since then, we use heavy duty velcro to keep it closed. Works great! Love your videos!!
We have Velcro on it but it didnât hold well.
@@LoftisPartyofSix Oh, that's a bummer. I am sure you will figure it out.
I love this video! I wish we were able to travel with our family... I have personally never been to a state that does not touch Oklahoma except for Louisiana. You guys are so unbelievably blessed... your kiddos are so good and it is excepted for them to get a little rowdy... I mean every kid does! SAFE and HAPPY trails!! XO-
Thank you
hi just couple of suggestions based on what we do. We estimate how much gas we need, go inside and prepay to ensure we can always fill up. Quakehold Museum putty. I put that on everything sitting on my counters and never have to put a thing away inside the RV before we drive off. All I have to do is make sure all doors are latched and drawers closed, bring in the slides and we are good to go.
Thank you!!
đđ»đđ»đđđđ awesome family!!! Have fun
Thank you đ
We drove through that same area last summer... Fun to see familiar scenery in your video!
Thank you
My mom crocheted inserts to put in between all of the dishes, pots and pans, etc to lessen the clanking together as they headed down the road in their much smaller RV. She did the same when we were all still at home and Dad towed our 24' Holiday Vacationer travel trailer.
Nice idea! Thanks
All the best for you, guys! IÂŽll be waiting for you in Argentina, when you decide itÂŽs time to head way down south of our big American continent. Hugs and kisses from Buenos Aires.
That would be awesome!! Thank you
The fridge safety latches (for keeping the babes out) work well once youâre on the road.
I jus always feel the love from his family đ„°
Thank you đ
Christian happy familyđđđkeep go in...
Thanks
I an so envious of you guys.. hope to be doing it soon. Be safeâ€ïž

Come join us sis! Loving RV life
I had neck surgery done last year out of the blue, not from an accident. I ended up buying a huge Nissan NV for safety. I would love to get a Class A or Class C...but after what I have been through and still are going through...I need to be safe. I dont allow my kids to drive in school buses either. I have seen Class A and other accidents and they look bad. I feel seatbelts should be in anything that moves, please be safe.
We wear our seat belts as do our kids. Laine has to get up on occasions to get the kids things. Thanks for your concern
@@LoftisPartyofSix Glad they have seatbelts! I had read older Class As dont have seatbelts, why I was worried for you all. I definitely am more aware of safety now that I had surgery. Would not wish this on anyone. I was not worried about your kiddos as children have seatbelts, just was concerned for you both as I heard seatbelts were not installed in Class As..why I mentioned it. You all are excellent parents, love your channel.
Thank you so much!! I will have to make that clear next time for everyone!
I'll let you know when I get my first Class A I have no experience but I will follow your videos love you guysđ
Awesome!! Thanks
New to this channel i subscribed straight away. Good luck on the road.
Thank you đ
Colorado roads are some of the work in America especially on I70 after Kansas
Woww amazing trip amazing view you guy's have a very cute babies have a safe trip always by the way im a new subcriber from Philippines
Thank you
Funny I had the exact overheating problem with my diesel pusher first trip after a lot of expense I found out it was the clutch for the cooling fan
Please buckle up while you are sitting. We drive an rv and witnessed an accident in a class A with a women that hit and shattered those huge windows and died. Sorry but needed to be said . Please be safe
Thanks for your concern
Hey guys keep thinking and say take your time don't rush your classes are bigger than than most this is your friend John Chalker from Waterbury Connecticut your friend I'm subscriber on CZcams
Thanks
I'm here n ready to watch ... buckle up guys (the subscribers lol). Let's watch.
đđ good one âïž thanks
Good video. I live in New York. If you try to park over night at a Walmart here, you get the cops called on you for trespassing. On a side note, Cracker Barrel restaurants encourage you to stay there over night. Some will even let you plug in if they can accommodate it. Best wishes.
Chason is sooo big !! đđ
Slowly but surely. God bless your trip.
Thanks
You had me at cornbread crisps lol
đđ thanks for watching
They make child proof latches for refrigerators. We have used them to keep our cat from opening the freezer.
Thank you
Wow!!! 20k followers!! Congrats!! đđ
Thank you đ
This is really Good. CONGRATULATIONS on being able to spend this time with your family. Hope to be able to do the same in a not so far future.
Thanks đ
Love the video
Thank you!!
RV = life
I really enjoy your videos be safe and God bless
Thank you
Well you sure sold me on the class a! That seems so nice. Enjoy!
Thank you đ
Awe you guys are such a beautiful family enjoyed watching your videos people will always find a way to be negative and repeat the same stupid thing over and over. Enjoy your family and life. Never been in a rv but it looks like alot of fun. Maybe one day I can afford to just be in one. And I love your song pickles and cheese and salami lol.
Thank you so much đ
I would be a nervous wreck driving up that mountain đ€Ł I was pausing the video and talking to my husband saying Oh Goodness I would die đ€Ł I absolutely love y'alls video. Safe travels and many blessings. Hope you make your way through WV again. Drop in Fayetteville WV again and stay a little longer
Thank you!! We definitely want to revisit WV again because we just skimmed through it last time.
My first diesel pusher had a cat on a freightliner chassis that started to run hot when going up grades. I learned that because it had a rear radiator that debris, especially when traveling in the rain would kick up off the road and get sucked into the radiator. Every couple of years I would soak the radiator fins with simple green and then VERY CAREFULLY rinse them to get all that built up gunk out off them. After that it would run up grades with no issues. Hope this helps you!
Stay tuned for an upcoming video.. because thatâs exactly what my problem was. The radiator was clogged very badly. Not itâs clean and runs better than ever. Thanks
Loftis Party of Six - weROAM guess I was late to the party, but I'm glad you figured it out. Hopefully that resolves your problem. I did mine about every other year, unless we were in Arizona or other very dusty places. Ive spoken to many rv mechanics, and I usually ask the ones who seem to really know their stuff what are the main causes of issues on these engines.. many have told me overheating.
Stay safe, and God bless!
-Jamie from Tx.
In regards to engine getting hot. Some RVs have a manual switch for the engine fan. Then you can switch it on when it looks like it's getting hot or have large hills to pull. You can get one installed if it's not equipped with one. Safe travels, God bless
That would be great!! Iâm not sure if mine has that but Iâll check. Thanks
Makes me miss Colorado.
Itâs a beautiful state
Looks like a great RV but you did have some lights on including the check engine light also that engine should not have gotten hot on a little Hill like that. I've driven diesel engines for a long time without a single issue pulling very heavy loads up the hills. This one here seems to have a cooling issue Denny's to be resolved. Hopefully you guys had a great trip
Love the scripture over the door.
Love your channel! We love Aldi too.
Thank you đ
thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching
So sweetđ ignore the grouchy peopleđ
Thank you đ
also the electrical engine if are with electrical induction also need use the radiator cooler system because also heat and that water can be use to heat the water shower and etc...
welcome to Colorado hahaha...love our roads?! i lost a whole carton of eggs crushed on the floor in our trailer on our last trip. stopped for gas and saw it. At least you're going farther on a tank of gas... we only get 8 towing but can only go 200 miles per tank of gas. yikes we stop A LOT for gas.
You are SO right!!! We just went to Salida Colorado (from Illinois) and as soon as we crossed into Colorado the roads went to crap!!! It's like the RV was going through a small earthquake!!! Those mountains are beautiful, but crazy to drive through in a class A! :)
Thanks for watching
I hate those kind of gas stations too. After it shuts me off I just put the nozzle back, swipe my card, and do it again. No need to wait and drive to another station. If you havenât yet Iâd recommend getting a fuel card for one of the bigger truck stops (pilot/flying J) so you can use the truck lane, they have no limits.
Yes Iâm going to look into those credit cards. Thanks
We are a family of 5 (2 adults 3 kids) and we have drive a class A motor home as well. Not a diesel but a Thor ACE with bunk beds in it. We donât live in it, but we do go for long camping trips and hope to start traveling full time in the summer becasue we really love our house and where we live, but FL gets very hot in the summer so going away is the perfect solution! BUT we have a class A for the same reason, traveling with little kids in a small space is not fun at all! We rented a camper once and it was the last.. at least while they are young. The Class A makes everything so easy! My son got sick on one of the trips and made it to the toilet vs puking all over the vehicle. Potty training is a breeze because they can go and you donât have to worry about pulling over some where... and mommy can tend to any issue the littles have so much quicker and easier. Itâs so nice to see another family using the Class A as I always see the travel trailer which is great for the bunk room but bad for traveling. We also use the generator while driving for added AC and tv when the kids get super bored. Looking forward to watching you adventures!
Thank you for watching!!
You can usually just reswipe your card at gas stations to keep pumping! (I don't know if someone already commented...most are about the seatbelts đ)
Thank you đ
Safe journey. God bless
Thanks
I am learning as i follow along with you about Class A. A clean Nappy is always comfortable for bubs. Our Grandson is Potty trained now during the day, less Nappies lol. Sone beautiful views. Loving the U Tube Vlogs x love a Wife. Mum and Nana
Thank you
my dream rv one day
The ump will stop you at 125. Put the pump back in, let it reset, and start pumping again. We have to pump twice too.
Congrats on the wonderful adventure.
Were a family of 7! 5 kiddos in a 26ft camper (were remodeling) our dream is to travel. Which will be doing once we pay off debt and remodel. We will be doing 3 week trips once we start though just to kinda keep us with part time work. Unless my business goes full time.
Thatâs sounds great!! Thanks
for the fridge and freezer, get and use the velcro kids safety straps made for home fridges! They work great for ours
We have Velcro on it but it donât always work.
