Hi

*San Diego is now forecasted to receive a devastating 3/4 inches of rain, TOTAL!!!. I woke up to howling 3 MPH winds and light rain.* Meanline back in Hawaii the toll reached a thousand souls lost.
Lord have Mercy 😢
San Diego was never forecast to be affected that much by Hilary!

Oh, the humanity! I live in Georgia. We haven't had rain like that since Tuesday.
😂😂
After so much drought that should be a blessing filling up all the lakes, aquifers and the reservoirs.
I’m sure they’ll desperately try to dump water into the ocean and then say next summer we are in a drought.
I guess they have to skim out the little brown logs first?
He is trying awfully hard to turn it into a "life-threatening, catastrophic storm".
Lol. Yeah
Is that what you are watching this for?
How else are they going to say Saint Gavin saved everyone.
It was in Baja, but the Pacific is too cold to sustain a large hurricane as far north as California
Someone fixing to get flooded out. California has never invested into excessive rain drainage system
I am from San Diego and there has not been a gust of wind past 10mph. It's mostly affecting the valleys and mountains. Honestly, it feels like a winter storm. Also, flooding ALWAYS happens when it rains here so it is nothing unexpected even for the valleys and mountains.
Famous last words 😮
God had mercy and heard our prayers.
Yeah but what you are saying (the truth) doesn’t sell… People don’t tune in to hear everything is ok… thanks for sharing the truth from the front lines…
Same here things are getting way blown out of proportion.
Im from LA and this storm is just overhyped by the media just like everything else they do. Barely even raining here. Only rained hard for like 10 minutes lol. Pathetic news coverage.
I'm in Burbank (LA), and as of 5 pm it seems like any regular storm so far, barely any wind. From all the news and alerts sent I thought it would be something extreme. I've experienced hurricanes before and it's been nothing like that. The danger will be in flood prone areas where it normally floods when it rains.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Same, Burbank, NH looks like just your standard storm
@@Shackleford_Rusty It's raining harder now.
Yup , I'm in Studio City and the storms in January were way worse than this
@@guppyspopI doubt that, they had no where near the same volume per hour as this storm. Almost 2 inches in less than 12 hours is insane in an area that averages like 8” per year. La just aint equipped for these waters.
I hope Lake Meade and The Colorado River get a lot of water from this storm.

Here in Pomona CA, and it's not hard at all. Just normal rain; nothing that should be blown out of proportion. But the media is making it look like it's a big deal.
Thank you for giving honest report!
Yeah, they love nothing more than to spin every weather into a life-threatning, sky-is-falling, end-is-near catastrophic, devestating loss of life disaster. All so they can activate their rhetoric, propaganda of climate change, global warming etc.
Don't look there, look here... That is what they are doing
I live in Florida. We knew.
Climate change so we should all drive ev's and give up our gas stoves air conditioning and give the gov all the power to do whatever they want. Geoengineering is a thing
If your area floods with this mild rain, it probably floods during any rain as many places do. I am south of LA and its a non event.
I’m on the coast in San Clemente, and so far, it’s not a big deal at 4:00 in the afternoon on Sunday.

Its flooding due to trash in drains.
Those of you in Arizona, remember 2001 when it rain for an entire month, winter storms, and the dams were so full the store water almost breached the top? Also, back in the Winter of '95 in California, it was the rainiest year, freeways were flooded and some were even closed.

Things are getting crazy out here right now. The rain is really picking up. The wind has lifted my house into a giant funnel. When I look out my window, I see cows and chickens flying by. And a strange woman on a bicycle. Also, I am only seeing things in black-and-white. The window frame hit me on the head. Please pray for me.

4:15 pm here near Pasadena - light rain on and off- no wind at all - all day. So far all the news has done is caused panic buying in all of the stores. A real non-event here. News telling everyone to stay in their homes and hunker down! Just got back from going out to eat - low crowds in the restaurants. No problem driving at all - like I said - nothing but a light rain. Our normal winter storms are worse than this
I grew up in San Diego, (born in 1947), and it stormed pretty often in the winter, and places flooded, but not like what the news is describing, not EVER!

Tomorrow the air will be very clean and the sky will be bright! Enjoy it!
I live in Eastern San Diego, near San Diego State University. I just checked, and so far we have had about 1.3 inches of rain since early this morning. In the last few minutes the wind picked up to about 10+ mph out of the South-South-East, but it has calmed down now. It is a fairly gentle rain right now, and my dog is outside not caring a bit about it. She is fairly wet, as she is a fluffy Finnish Spitz. I also checked Palm Springs, and they have received 2.25 inches of rain. Their average yearly rainfall is about 5 inches. San Diego is about 10 inches per year. Other areas may be having some heavy rain, but not here. If you see any flooding in San Diego, it is probably at Mission Beach, or Mission Valley in the area of Fashion Valley Shopping Center.
Anzo Borrego?
I checked Borrego Springs, and they have had 2 inches of rain, and wind gusts of 38 mph. Anza Borrego is a state park 3 miles from the town of Borrego Springs.
On the bright side LA streets should be a little cleaner after the storm.
