      Anyone running built bikes over 30 mph are usually running either mineral oil or dot 4 hydraulic brakes. Both are motorcycle level brakes so it just comes down to rotor size single or dual fronts and 2 or 4 pistons. 230-250mm rotors are about the same size motorcycles run but most ebikes are about 100mm smaller so if you run a dual front to single rear about 200mm you’d literally have the same braking setup a motorcycle run going bigger just means better heat dissipation for frequent braking and most calipers will need adapters to fit them. The rest is rider skill reaction and tires

      @@evolutionpowerbikes3729I know this is years left now but if you upgrade your amperage and controller amps you can get over 120 easily. A 400a controller with that battery at like 50-60ah would take you through warp speed you could potentially beat low cc sport bikes in a half mile because they might have to shift to 2nd while you just keep pulling well over 130mph. Sorry I’m American I’m bad at converting these to metric
      If you haven’t just be mindful of your suspension and stabilization at that point. I’d definitely a stabilizer and beefed up fork and rear otherwise you have way more speed to get out of your battery and motor

    • @jamielindsey5680
      @jamielindsey5680 Před 3 lety +6

      It all depends on the amp hours of the battery really, if we throw random numbers out there though...
      Let's say it's a Li-Polymer battery rated at 30C and 8Ah, so can potentially provide up to 250 amps (it looks like the ammeter on the LCD display says 240 amps). That means it will last 1 hour if discharging at 1C which is 8 amps in this case, so we divide the 1 hour by the 30C (30 multiplied by Ah) which equals 2 minutes 😉🤣🤣!
      But it won't be pulling full current all the time... And its most likely a massive 30 or 40 Ah battery which would last closer to an hour to 2 hours.. it's not really about the voltage or voltage use when it comes to how far you'll go or how long it will last, its down to capacity which is measured in amps and how fast them amps can be discharged from the battery. You can get LiPo batteries that are rated at 130C 5Ah that will pump out 650 amps without even getting warm!!

    • @jasonbrown467
      @jasonbrown467 Před 2 lety

      @@jamielindsey5680 and as far as how long does it take to charge, i am guessing its a 84v battery and 20ah capacity which is 1680 watt hours. if the battery is completly dead, and it never is less that 20%, if you charged it at 20amps it would take one hour to charge, 10amps would be 2 hours, 5 amps would be 4 hours, 10 amps would be 2 hours. the battery could very well be 40ah, but i dont know. and there is likely a bms that will want to limit the charge rate to 1c or less if i had to guess

    • @marthamryglod291
      @marthamryglod291 Před 2 lety

      As of today, you can get the common Chinese cells for under 2usd each, and you'll need over 100 to get a decent battery for a regular bike. To build a great battery like on this bike would be quality cells that cost around 5-10usd and a 22s8p size battery. That will run you about 1k USD for just the cells, add 200 for a BMS, nickel strips, copper bus bars, tape, solder. So a high end homemade battery can easily cost 1.5k USD. Now, to build a 52v 25ah with high end cells will only cost around 500 for materials.
      Sorry this was to do it yourself. A custom battery with quality cells can easily cost more than 2k but they will last more than 5 years easily. People are building batteries with recycled car lithium batteries that are eight years old and still test perfectly.

    I am in Jersey, will sell, will ship to U.K.
    TBH, my 55 mph bike for sale too... but it will need rebuild... Electronics ‘knowledgeable’ people only need apply... not interested in doing stuff with it any more.

      Yes, still got it, still selling, but I am guessing you think I am in New Jersey, USA, but no, sorry, I am in Jersey, the place where the New Jersey in America is named after.
      Sorry to disappoint

      @B Elite Rider Yea, sorry ..common mistake, many people in the USA confuse Jersey with New Jersey ...get a lot of people for NJ commenting on Jersey Facebook posts too...trying to buy cars and things...join sales groups etc.

    My two-wheeler can also go that fast, but has larger tires, better brakes and you can wear proper protective gears without looking ackward. It's called a motorbike, you might want to consider it

    How long will the tires survive at these elevated speeds? Bicycle tires are not as robust as motorcycle tires….
