    Saw some idiotic comment, that I want to address here. I will post my response here (original comment is now gone) but in summation, the comment stated that “I’m another amateur CZcamsr that doesn’t know how CZcams works, that watermarks don’t do anything, that all the videos I watch are already on CZcams so they won’t get blocked, and that I have no right to say anything “bad” about the guitarist missing a harmonic because he’s a world class musician and I’m just some guy in a chair and that it was “laughable”. This was my response.
    “I usually ignore people like you but I’ll keep it simple. CZcams is not consistent with the copyrights and blocks because guess what… prepare to be shocked… but the vid got blocked! Watermark removed the video recognition. Audio was recognized but it allowed it to be shared by the copyright owner. As for the guitar note, it’s a shame folks like you get so butt hurt when some one makes a comment on something. It’s not a damn criticism. If it was a criticism I’d be holding it against him saying that makes him a bad player or that he shouldn’t be playing. I pointed it out because I noticed it in the moment, as a fellow guitar player that gets annoyed whenever I miss a harmonic, I bet they felt the same. It’s part of being a human and shows they don’t just play to a track which makes it that much better. Lastly, it doesn’t matter if I’m some dude in a basement, a moderate recording artist or the freakin pope, everyone has their right to express their opinion. Though again, it wasn’t an opinion, just an observation. What’s ironic is that you yourself don’t do CZcams. Your in here saying I can’t comment on the guitar because I’m just some guy, but here you are criticizing me saying I don’t know what I’m doing when you yourself don’t do it. Now that’s laughable”
    Should I have just ignored it, like I do on the regular… yes I should have but I’m frankly sick and absolutely tired of people with this mindset. Let me know if I am off base with this. To me, art is subjective and is made to cause thought, to be discussed. No one should be silenced, even if they don’t like it, it is their right as a human being to feel how they feel. Except Dr. Pepper i will not allow any DP slander!

    Thanks for sharing this set of songs and part of your BM journey, hopefully you will resume soon this amazing journey and keep discovering more unique BM songs.
    Karate is one of BM fans favorite and they played this song at the recent Europe Tour getting everyone more involved with the crowd participation and doing something similar turning on the phone lights just like they did with Monochrome live version which btw is another song composed by YuyoYuppe, he definitely knows how to make banger songs.
    Akatsuki is another song with tribute to X-Japan - Kurenai song and just like Monochrome got a stripped down version called Akatsuki Unfinished Version live at Legend 1997.
    Hope to see you soon with more BM songs. If you ever want to come back feel free to ask if you need help with more suggestions for your BM journey and the best live performance to experience their songs for the first time.🦊🤘🔥

    Great triple reaction. I have really enjoyed your deep dive and watching you discover just how good - and unique - BABYMETAL really are.🤘🦊
    The "seiya, soya" parts in 'Karate' ... yes they work a lot better with two voices (so Yui and Moa originally and now Moa and Momoko of course). At Budokan 2021 Moa was having to do those parts by herself.
    If you are curious next time you revisit BABYMETAL if you want to hear how Su-metal sounds when everything is stripped back, there is a one-off acoustic (just Su, piano and strings) performance of 'Akatsuki' ('Akatsuki' unfinished version live at Legend 1997).
    Su and Moa (shortly before Momoko was revealed as the new third member) also did a piano version of 'Monochrome' on The First Take YT channel.

    One thing that got me hooked on Babymetal in the first place was Suzuka's voice. I feel like the way she sings is very unique, her voice is very clear and sharp, not too much vibration, especially when she takes the high notes, it really pierced deep into my soul. Adding her voice to metal music is like a sword cutting through the wilderness. So every time I hear her sing it's always gives me goosebumps. An example of a song that brings out her best vocal potential is "Starlight" from the 3rd Album 'Metal Galaxy', especially the live version.

    Many people, especially when they're younger seem to think about what the peer group would think if they said they like something different to the group. I was guilty of this to until I became man enough to be my true self, it took many years and lots of experiences. I think thats also why there are so many older fans. At a certain level of life experience the angry metal guy vocals become tiresome, I've been listening to that for decades. I've been enjoying the melodic vocals and metal riffage of this awesome team. Keep on rocking

    You loved the arena for Krate. It is a very fitting arena for this song. Budokan or actually Nippon Budōkan, that translates to 'Japan Martial Arts Hall'. It is the martial arts hall built for the 1964 olympics. Budokan has a central place in Japanese music history, and is considered the definitive concert arana in Japan. Starting with five concerts by the Beatles in 1966, that sparked a new era of music in Japan. The list of artists that have played at Budokan is long and impressive.
    The second song is from BabyMetal’s first concert at Budokan, and they were at that time (I think they still are) the youngest female artists to be invited to play at Budokan.

    You gotta do you, but i'd keep my options open about travelling to see them. This version of BABYMETAL is a limited time offer. Su is 26 and she could decide at any time to start the next phase in her career. They're touring this year, and they'll probably be back next year...but you can't be sure. They're riding a legit wave this summer and catching BABYMETAL in 2024 is gonna be something you'd remember for the rest of your life.

      You have to remember, their were multiple moments in the ladies of Babymetal's career where they sat down and decided, are we gonna continue and/or change Babymetal. They are well trained and in shape to do so, etc.

    A lot of bands start with gimmicks and then they progress past it. Babymetal hasn't been a gimmick for a very long time. Band-Maid and others are the same. I'd suggest looking at them. They started out with "Thrill" and now have some amazing stuff like "Blooming", "Manners", and my favourite, "Dice".

    Moa's part in Karate you did not like was written for Moa and Yui to sing as a duet, that is probably why it sounds thin and does not fit there a few songs that suffered in this way after Yui left the band, now Momo is singing those part it is better

    Nice reaction! These songs are all straight bangers. And I'm sorry but I just gotta say that if you think you've got Babymetal figured out after what? 7 songs, and you think you've done a deep dive, then you couldn't be more hilariously wrong. That line of thinking could probably work for most bands but Babymetal is absolutely not in any way "most bands". Very few songs are alike or follow a central theme. They've experimented with a wide range of genres and sounds. It's honestly like they are 5 different bands with the same singer. So unless you've grown bored with Su's vocals specifically or the metal genre in general then there's still a lot more fun stuff to discover, trust me. For example: Have you heard their psy-trance song? What about their ska song? Or their rap song? Their schlager song? I could go on (and on and on) but I think you get the point. I get that you may want to react to other things and that's fine, but don't go thinking for a second that you've succeded in getting much more than your feet wet in this so-called "deep dive".
    I'm sorry for sounding harsh. I know I'm probably not doing the fandom any services by saying these things but sometimes when somebody is wrong on the internet you just have to correct them, you know? Anyway, have a good one and much love and peace!

    • @FenriRock
      @FenriRock  Před 28 dny

      Appreciate it. I will say again though that ending this series by no means I’m done with the band, just done doing the weekly videos. Never claimed to have the band figured out. Honestly don’t know where you got that impression. Again though I appreciate the kind parts but you went a bit overboard there with the jumping to conclusions.

    • @faaltoh
      @faaltoh Před 28 dny

      @@FenriRock Bro you titled the video "end of a beautiful journey" and you called listening to a few songs a "deep dive". Now it seems to me it's neither of those things. Actually it seems to be the actual opposite of those things. Am I drunk here? It really doesn't matter either way. I understand now and theres little point in arguing about our different definitions of things. I'm sorry. I'm happy you enjoyed discovering babymetal and I'm glad I misunderstood what you meant. Take care now.

    • @FenriRock
      @FenriRock  Před 28 dny +1

      @faaltoh I meant no ill will, just conversating. You said it yourself, if someone is wrong on the internet you gotta correct em 😋. Jkjk. What I meant by the title was ending of this part of journey, I’m also still going to do videos on them going forward, just not on the weekly basis. I’ve also been listening to more tracks on the side that haven’t been requested, those tend to almost be better and are what hook me to bands. Coming up with video titles can be a pain, and I see how it could be misinterpreted. I go with go by a persons spoken words, not what’s written. It’s why I try to avoid using sarcasm when writing, leads to more issues than it’s worth as it’s hard to interpret most of the time. And if you are drunk I’m super jealous… I wish I woulda drank some cus damn it’s too freakin hot…

    • @faaltoh
      @faaltoh Před 28 dny

      @@FenriRock No offense taken. Let me share an interesting little tidbit about the "less known tracks": BM seems to prioritize songs with a lot of crowd interaction when playing live and their most popular songs are often on the simpler side (take that with a huuuuge grain of salt because BM generally leans toward very technical compositions on average. It's all relative.). This leaves a lot of their more intricate, experimental or slower songs behind, so to speak. At least 5 songs in my top ten are songs like these. It's surprisingly common for BM fans to have 'that one song they never play' as their favorite. And of course we never agree on which one it is. Akatsuki is among them. (Some other suggestions for such potential songs: "Yava!", "Rondo of Nightmare", "Syncopation". The first two have live versions with Kami band intros.)

    • @FenriRock
      @FenriRock  Před 28 dny +1

      @faaltoh I think that’s a good thing in a way. It’s in part why I’m so adamant that the recorded versions still matter. I’m sure you’re well aware that many of the fans chastise those reacting to the recorded versions. While I get what they are getting at, on a day to day basis the recorded versions are what you are going to listen too, hence why I wanted to do both versions of the songs. For what they are going with on their live sets, the “simpler” tracks work better because you can focus on the fun of it all, living in the moment. Listening at the home the intricate tracks are more enjoyable as you’re able to soak it in and pay attention more than when you and thousands of others are living in the moment and enjoying it all. Soon as I’m able to I want to see them live so I can be there and experience it as well. The videos give me a sense, but it doesn’t truly give you the effect of actually being there

  • @Hymnodic
    @Hymnodic Před měsícem +4

    Since you are finished with deep dive, I would suggest reacting to the latest guide to BABYMETAL released in April if you want information on them. czcams.com/video/aIb2xEthdSg/video.html
    Yuppe is a master of his craft, he composed Monochrome as well. That part in Karate was really meant to be with harmonized vocals, the single vocal just doesn't hold up at all, and just sounds awkward with just Moa. The best version of Karate right now is from Legend MM, the Blu-ray releases on the 10th of this month.
    I definitely recommend Akatsuki unfinished version from Legend 1997, and Monochrome piano version from The First Take. For the next song I would suggest Divine Attack Live at PIA Arena 2023.
