- For some odd reason, no one has made an extension of this song (at least to my knowledge), so I figured I'd might as well make one. I believe it plays during every final boss theme, regardless of the ending you choose, but I'm not sure (I've never actually played Strange Journey, only SMT IV, and Persona 3 and 4). Wow I made that longer than it needed to be, I really like to digress a lot... But I digress, enjoy.
- Hry
The theme is named "Take the Shield, Raise the Spear". Also, it was hidden in the title screen theme (Eternal Throne)
Yeah, I always hear that and I'm wondering why it's the final boss music.
Space Marine: "Finally, I traversed all of hell, lost some dear friends along this journey, and have triumphed over some of humanity's greatest evils! All that's left is to defeat the mastermind behind this ordeal, and end the Schwarzwelt for g-"
Mem Aleph: *"haha MA go brrrrrr"*
God FUCK Mem Aleph. Idk if it's cuz I severely underestimated her or something, but she obliterated my ass no matter how far I planned. Felt like she pulled out some random move that wiped half my team each turn. It was a nightmare beating her in Redux with sub apps, so I can only dread how hard she'd be in the original where Protag dying = Game over
@@ephemeralbro yeah, that whole Mem Aleph casting MA on the protagonist and killing him sucked
@@ephemeralbro Make sure all 3 of your demons have no less than 50 magic and strength, as these stats account for your defense as well. Fuse/summon a bunch of mitamas and add them to level 75+ demons. You can also add a source each time you add a mitama. Your demon lives longer if it has no weaknesses and has life surge.
@@ephemeralbro That’s Strange Journey for you
She never hit my party with MA in any of the 3 times I fought her second form. Guess I was pretty lucky.
Just to clarify on your description, yes, this does play in every final boss battle regardless of the ending you chose.
in which case why does it play when fighting soil jimenez
@@Darius13456 That scouldn't play on soil Jimenez. The chaos battle theme should be the one playing.
@@Darius13456 I finished a Law run recently and heard this play instead of Trannical Hero. I was really confused when I searched for the song after killing Jimenez
I'm really surprised to hear this when fighting with sol Jimenez
Can't say for Redux, but i can also confirm in vanilla this plays every single final boss including Jimenez, no Chaos Boss Theme for Jimenez on Law Route
If you see the red eyes and the ) that link the two eyes looks like a smile.
A happy smile demonica helmet.
SMT Strange journey is one of the best, for real.
I played it on my ds and once i really got into it, I couldnt stop.
Finished playing this game yesterday. Amazing.
same!
The only way to beat this bosses is with friendship and when I mean friendship I made a lot of bullets
MOR DAKKA
Notice how it's got parts of Eternal Throne and Scepter of Justice within the tune...
It's good to know Mem Aleph was horribly difficult for everyone and not just for me.
I absolutely love the leitmotif in this and the menu theme. I wonder, does it symbolize the demons or the humans?
Imo it symbolizes the humans struggle against the demons. Just from how imposing the whole piece sounds
In SMT, are they really that different?
@@trainertaylor5396 Of course they are different. One gives the neutral ending while the other gives the chaos ending.
Ah yes, Mem Aleph.
*MA flashbacks*
I finally beat this game yesterday while in line for a haunted house😂Ultimately, I loved it. As someone who beat DeSu1 and DeSu2, I thought the story rocked, the battle mechanics were perfect, and all was good EXCEPT for the fusion and bosses. Anyway, Strange Journey was an absolute banger and marks the end of my SMT DS journey :)
Mem Aleph is a hardcore stat check. If your demons aren't level 75+ and you don't beef up their low stats with mitamas, you're gonna have a bad time.
you like outbreak, silent hill 4 and strange journey that's so awesome know you from your gdq resident evil 3 speedrun :D
Me who didn't grind a smidge and took that bitch to the ground with strategy alone
Not really, you just have to build your team around the fight
@@shadez123 hell yeah, i beat her at like, level 60 and DAMN she was fun af to fight, hardest jrpg boss I've ever fought (Vanilla) and damn it was a fight for my life and fitting of SJ, too bad redux made it easy
Love this song. I know it’s odd considering it’s a final boss song, however I find it calming. Any one else feels relaxed when listening to this?
This is not the feeling this song gives off after having fought the final boss of this game.
Fuck Mem Aleph honestly.
No, cause ive fought the boss and know the horrors
@@sociallyawkard5675 I’ve fought it too. Still find it calming. Although I also find the Souls/Elden Ring games calming for the most part.
This track so goooood!
People here talk about Mem Aleph, meanwhile me: Oh hi Pillar Zelenin, how's your Requiem going? (She was easy but Requiem was a time waster).
Mem Alpeh took me 19 tries to beat, excluding the first 10 times I entered the fight and I got oneshotted because I was underlevelled and unprepared. I was not even playing blind or on hard mode, I had info about her weaknesses, strengths, forma to farm, demons to fuse, and the optimal equipment to use, and I still struggled. For reference, I beat Lucifer in Kyuuyakyu Megami Tensei 1 on my first try, without a single casualty.
This is when you realize that you love classical music.
bangerrrr
*_MAAAAAAA_*
*dead*
I hate you
This ost makes me wanna fight god with an AR.
Extend regular battle theme please?
Look up "Fear of the God". Don't forget to add "extended"

Am I the only one here that beat her on the first try just by spamming Ragnarok and healing items?
This is even better at 1.5x speed.
Thank you
1.25 work best for me sounds very orchestral
I beat MA yesterday and I want to vent. What the hell was with SJ and difficulty spikes? The game is pretty easy until Ouroboros then it gets really hard... but it goes back to super easy with Sector Fornax. After that it stays easy (with the exception of Awake Jimenez's insta-kill gun attack) but Mem Aleph is a whole different level. I got raped so bad that I spent 5-10 hours grinding levels and getting OP gear. I tried her again at level 75 and still got booty blasted. Finally I hit level 80 and tried again; easily beating her. Cool boss theme, terrible boss
