  • In Episode 12 of Car Chats, we address the debate within Christianity about same-sex relationships. We discuss the importance of listening well to LGBTQ people and avoiding the approach of arguing people into your views. Because we live in a heteronormative world, we call folks who fall on Side B to a higher standard of listening and learning.

This is not Biblical God came to save us from sin. Part of being a Christian is turning from sin not making excuses to stay in that sin. Toxicity is way over used. We are sinful by nature sounds like your not actually reading scripture. We are to die to our self and sin turn and walk away from sin.

Your existence is in Christ not what you do behind closed doors. You are saying things like," I do not agree, and I do not care what your view is."
You are closed to what the Bible actually says. You are at war with God, views do not matter only what Christ says. I pray God opens your eyes to the contradiction here. Everyone has sin that is hard to deal with, face, and accept. We were in sin. Facing our sin and our selves is the hardest thing. That is why Christ died. I pray for you both. (This is not guy in profile, it's his wife.). I will be praying for you all. I do have friends that are now LGBT. They would not call themselves friends anymore, my answers always go back to scripture. Thst us always shot down and called bigot, or narrow. I can not change what Bible says no matter who "dislikes" it. Christ was hated for what he said, he was ultimately killed for it. He addresses all this in Matthew. Yes it's hard, I may not be LGBT but there are other diagnosis from Matthew there that were me. I was a drunkard,fornicator.. I had to turn from that. Christ is my strength not myself. Left to my own divises I perish. Christ is King what he says goes weither I like it ,or agree. He is God and who am I to tell him what, or how to order things. We have to be willing to see God as GOD not our desires that is turning ourself into a god..which is idolatry. God sits in heavens and he does what he pleases. So we can shake our fist at him or bow the knee and beg for mercy.

I am watching your video for the first time. This video is mostly about what side B is doing wrong. In one sentence you say side B needs to listen to you/hear your story and in another sentence you say that you are not willing to listen to side B. You have heard all the arguments. That seems contradictory to me. You both do seem to be well meaning though. I must say I am not on either side.
