I actually can't beat skyrim. Every time I start a new playthrough, I get too distracted by all the side quests, and than I get tired of the game before I can complete the main quest.
Same. I recently started a new playthrough and my character is level 30 and wears fully Ebony armor. But as far as the main story goes I haven't gotten to the Thalmor Embassy yet.
@@riemaennchen i know, the seconded time I played I was level 50 with maxed one handed by talking to delphine because the side quests are so fun

If you have the mod and play it normally it really does look cool. Compressed like it was it looked like a nightmare.

Hey Goose, the water swimming bug that happened at about 2 minutes into the video is due to going over 60 fps when the game isnt intended to be ran above that framerate. Cap the framerate to 59 FPS to fix that.

It reminds me of NPC's suddenly walking really slowly, which according to Google was also due to FPS issues. :/

Skyrim Beyond Potatoe Edition
The part about the render distance made me smile. When I was going through a rough time (my mom died and I lost my job and almost got evicted around roughly the same time), I had a shit PC that couldn't run most games my friends were playing at time, so I got super into Skyrim and modded it the best I could with my limited PC specs. Playing a stealth archer on that brick was insane, you'd see literally no enemies, zoom in with your bow, and watch the enemies pop into existence at real time as they sprinted at you in ultra low res. Good times.

Yes. Above 80 frames for my pc. Idk what it is for others. But above that frame rate I cant play the game. And everytime Nvidea launches a new GReady driver it resets the frame rate limit for every game. So I start skyrim like normal and animals start telepprting and all the shit and I have to watch the same tutorial again to limit the frame rate...

There is a fix for that but I don't remember the mod name and it doesn't involve limiting your fps
@@GamerNemo you probably mean the "havok fix"? it's not a solution though. it can cause stability issues. especially with other mods installed. the engine is designed to only run

Just wanted to say, before I shut down, there's something I really like about this thumbnail and I can't place it. The sketchiness is nice- I like sketchy drawings, I think it might be how satisfying the layering is... Whatever it is, I love it, and I've come to really like the rest of your thumbnails too! I like that there are so many poses, and outfits, and that you're able to fit them all to Goose. I like how they match the challenge themself, as well! I'm looking down at the side bar right now, and I see the "Can Twitch Beat Skyrim" with Goose in the purple jacket, and "Skyrim as a Base Vampire", with the bloodied look and darker clothing colours.

Know that mod. I used it when i was trying to make Skyrim look like some zelda Games. I also installed some zelda dungeon mods and with additional hair my character almost looked like ganondorf (with the armor from his tower) Then i used a mod to give him his screams for attacks. I used voice clips from the Smash Bros games. This fit very Well. To Bad i lost all of that when switching to a new hard drive.

This has to be my favorite video so far
So, I actually used to have the same swimming bug you did except I wanted to see how far I could push it so I got some mods which let me fight and stuff under water and then I cranked the bug up to 11 so that I was always swimming as I proceeded to play through the entirety of skyrim as though I was under water it was a lot of fun and surprisingly stable all. Then the game completely wigged out and I had to reinstall skyrim totally worth it though because it was a lot of fun.

well you have never loaded the game with a fuck ton of mods. Or you just installed the live another life mod and skip that super long into like a normal person.
All the physics bugs is because the speed of the physics engine is tied to the fps. At about 80+ fps weird things start to happen. There is a mod for old Skyrim that fixes this. Bethesda "solved" the problem in Skyrim special edition by capping the fps at 60. If you go the other way though and have less than 30 fps, you start getting very noticable input lag.

We have reached the apex of resolution as a species. 4k 60FPS was the max. Now we're doing the horseshoe theory back around to bad resolution. It's like with big phones to small phones to big phones again.

Yeah but I am likely to start a new playthrough a bit after killing alduin bc I leave that for last (doing side quests and dlc before main stuff), and it’s usually 1 or 2 dlcs per run, 1 guild, etc. if I try and do everything each run it gets repetitive

2:00 this is a fps glitch, you set your settings so low that you got really high fps, to high for skyrim in fact. I had this same problem but the opposite way. I got a new gaming computer and the fps was so high naturally that this glitch happened. Only way to fix it was to limit my fps.

I have a recomendation for challenge run. Can Link from Zelda beat the entire game of Skyrim, DLC storylines included.

The swimming and glitched animations is because you have too many frames. You gotta cap the fps at 60 to fix it. I use RivaTuner Statistics Server and it works great.

This is the norm for me.
so i had that problem with the water glitching everywhere, and its because youre running the game at over 60fps (may be 30). so if in your monitor settings you turn down the refresh rate, it should fix it, however that was causing it in my case, your case may be different since youre doing so much to the graphics
na that's the reason for him too. The graphics he used are easy to render, so skyrim was running at peak performance, thus higher fps then he usually plays it on. And this higher fps was enough to set off the fps glitch.

Swimming in air is caused by too big framerate. Go to Windows or graphic card settings and set limit to 60.

1:55 That happens when you do not limit the FPS to 60 frames in the NVIDIA settings
Skyrim physics do no longer work once you go past 60 FPS. It literally is just the engine, not a problem with the PC or any Mod
The weird physics glitches you were experiencing (altitude teleporting, road swimming) may have to do with the high FPS. Skyrim's engine breaks at higher FPS values due to the tickrate. I don't remember if it's above 62 fps or above 120. Then again, this may have been fixed with SSE, so I could just be talking out my ass.
