thanks for taking the time on this - we build a couple (one for us and one for a mate). working well. we made the roof larger to ensure water doesnt get into the feed and we had to fiddle with the levers as we were using less than one inch ply.

This is nice but you need to learn the meaning of automatic. If a chicken has to step on it, that is the very definition of manually operated. Self feeding is more what this is.

Куда ты раньше свое видео прятал? Думал что уже никогда не найду принцип действия механизма педали. У меня кормушка уже сделана но по других размерах поэтому буду импровизировать надеюсь заработает. Если бы продавались такие штуки купил бы готовую и не парился.

Very cool but I am so "building challenged" that I CHICKENED out (pun intended :) trying to build my own so I just looked online for a similar design out of Oklahoma at the "thecarpentershop" and am glad I did. I only have to buy 1/2 the feed I use to because I no longer have to feed the rats because they can no longer get to the food supply.
