- Every nakshatra has a dark side. In this video I show you how to find which asterisms are positively and negatively activated in any chart. I also discuss your focal nakshatra, as well as secrets and insights into Punarvasu, including its shakti, deity, and more.
By looking at the chart of the first atomic bomb test, overseen by physicist Robert Oppenheimer, we see the dark side of Punarvasu in full display. By looking at Arnold Schwarzenegger's chart we see a totally different side.
Interestingly, Robert Oppenheimer's MOON IS IN PUNARVASU as well. Noticed this after I made the video.

It was really interesting to see all the light symbolism in the film, especially when Oppenheimer was giving his speech after the test, as punarvasu indicates “return of the light”.
This is really crazy. Thank you for sharing this info. You just blew my mind because I have been analyzing movies with prominent punarvasu energy (either starring punarvasu natives or written by a punarvasu native), and I noticed a big theme in a lot of these movies was violence, but specifically violence involving GUNS. I could not figure out why or how such a “benefic” nakshatra would be so prominent in these types of movies!!
Other themes I found were those of organized underground crime, and hostage situations.

Recently I've seen a few charts of criminals that made child crimes and a lot of them had Punarvasu main placements, my theory is that it has to do with the Gemini duality and the playfullness of curiosity + the Jupiter dominance that is related to power dynamics in this case teacher-child. I've seen some adult murder criminals with a lot of Purvabhadrapada and Ashwini

Wow just want to add to my other comment about the movies I’ve been watching. A lot of them have to do with organized crime, such as the mafia (the godfather for example has a lot of punarvasu natives starring in it)
This really ties into what you’re talking about with Punarvasu being about working in a large “family” or large organziations

Hey , you mentioned about the death and the light and both of them are associated with 8 th house , I am unable to interpret if punarvasu is in 8 th house and the planets are sun and Mercury ...If it pleases you please provide some insight .

I have Venus in Punarvasu 8th house in Gemini. Sun is conjunct venus but in mrigshira.
What if the panurvasu sun and mercury are in the 12th, does it mean these qualities never manifest?
Can a so-called Malefic in the last pada (cancer, vargottam, pushkara) also cause the rise of the dark side if not aspected by another graha? Say if the malefic is also lagnesha? Thank you for the wonderful insights 🙏
malefics always damage nakshatras, though if it is the lagna lord less so. see if malefic also aspect here and just as importantly look at JU and its placement as the Nakshatra ruler
I have Saturn, Mars, Sun in exact conjunction in my D9 in this nakshatra… Any advice on how to interpret this? 😭
First of all, I congratulate you for using the nakshatras in the D9. It is not something many astrologers do. I learned to do so from James Kelleher, an eminent Jyotishi from California who has enormous success using this principle. Remember to interpret nakshatras in subcharts according to the meaning of the subchart. For example, Punarvasu activation in the D9 may signal a drive to renew your relationship constantly, or to have many children (Aditi is the mother of the gods) or that you will marry an engineer or computer type. Depending upon the house activated in the D9, and the planet that activates it, you will get your meaning. For example, SA in Punarvasu in the 8H of the relationship could very well harm your love relations during its period. But JU in Punarvasu in the 7H of the D9 may bring a very wealthy partner (vasutva prapana shakti) or one relationship after another, or swiftly get you married during its period. In your case, with three malefics in Punarvasu in the D9, you might find a partner in the Armed Forces or police. Or someone into physical fitness. These are hard working combos that need expression through physical movement. Hope that helps!
Thank you, Simon! They are in the 9th house and moon is also close by in Ardra. I recognized that they make Raaj and Dhan yogas. So while I was at first scared to see this tight malefic conjunction in my D9 chart, I realized I must take a nuanced approach to interpreting this. Looking forward to more of your videos, Simon!

Punarvasu asc has the rare ability to visualize their future/reality and make it come true. It's a rare quality that allows them to shape their reality, along with hard work and positive reinforcement. On the spiritual side, their 'prayers' get answered, whatever the spiritual tradition they follow. Just be careful what you pray for... ;)
