Today I'm capitalizing on SEO for Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania coff umm, I mean...I am taking a COMPLETELY coincidentally timed look at an overlooked figure, the Page Punchers Atom. This figure seemed DOA and is fairly reviled in the collection community, but is it really all that bad?

That cartoon joke was pretty fun honestly and for me personally this whole wave, accurate or not just doesn’t feel right along side other “regular” dc multiverse figures which is kind of a shame as it limits a lot where you can put this
I think one *can* work with DC Multiverse but maybe keep him towards the back of the shelf lol

I thought in the Arkham City Catwoman review you promised to keep it PG 😂. Great review, he definitely needed pupils and glasses, he looks a bit off without them. I like the unique, can't get anywhere else comic but a 4 issue series is how they should do it.

This is the only figure from the flash set I picked up. Needed to get an atom. Looks good.

Looks terrible! The plastic without paint looks like a dollar store figure.
I think a wash would really do wonders, but like I said, not sure what to do about the face
I’ve noticed a lot of dc and marvel figures have characters with similar powers.
I am not familiar with these iterations of these characters so won’t get any.

I almost didn't get this because despite being an Asian characters, and one of the very few that DC has they didn't really do much with his visible skin to distinguish him to keep folks from confusing him with Ray Palmer.
I totally see where you're coming from and completely agree.

Mcfarlane hasn’t made any improvements to their figures. I sold all but one of my figures. They have no thigh swivel, all the joints have pins. Even WWE and AEW wresting figures have pinless joints and lots more articulation. Mattel’s MOTU line is pinless and has over 32 points of articulation. I think all the hate Hasbro gets for reuse is unfair while Mcfarlane uses the same low tech parts on his toys and some how gets praise for it. You think after 4 years producing less articulated toys, taking guns away and accessories overall that at least the articulation would improve.

Aew figures still have pins from what I’ve seen.
Mcfarlane has been great in holding the line so long to not raise prices but is a bit now. The figures are still more affordable then marvel and Star Wars and most wrestling figures. Mcfarlane being privately owned is part of the reason they ate the profit loss. Also, it’s good since it shows they are in it for the long run, to keep customers happier and not raise prices while getting less.
The reason for the price increases faster for other companies is because the rise in labor costs in china, material costs and they are made by publicly traded corporations, who need to pay stockholders. The value of Mattel and hasbro stock went down all of 2022.
That’s objectively not true. They have made improvements since first coming out.
