Per Gessle is one of my favorite songwriters. Makes catchy songs. Marie had a beautiful voice, so it's no surprise they had success.
I can feel all the energy and vibes that Per sends us, even in swedish! it's crazy.
Thanks for all this nostalgia. My husband and I have grown up with Roxette since we left school. We had their songs played at our wedding in 1997. We're currently having a date night and are listening to their music as it makes us reminisce. We absolutely love them and have had Roxette in our lives since we met at school in 1988. Big L to all. Xx
I hope you had a great dinner yesterday! What's your favorite song from them?
@@AlmostDon we had an awesome evening thanks, going over old times😊 We don't have one particular favourite but The Look has to be the one we play most. I remember when we went on honeymoon to Cuba in August 1997 and were going on a trip somewhere in a minibus and Listen to Your Heart came on the Radio in Spanish, which was a real surprise. Also in February 1999 just after having our son, I was listening to the radio in hospital and that was the first time I heard I Wish I Could Fly. We've had so many great memories with Roxette over the last 34 years.
Just watched your Roxette look back. Really well done and I enjoyed your passion and care for the band. I first heard of Roxette like many in America with The Look. I really loved Dangerous and Listen to Your Heart which came out when I was in high school. I followed them all the rest of the time but lost track of them with some of the albums you brought up. Thank you for doing such a good job on this. It’s sad that Maria is gone and thankful for the beautiful music she left us. Per and her were such a great match.
Roxette is one of my all-time favourite band. There's so much information in your video I had no idea about. Thanks for the elaboration
Rock on! They were big in Spain, and as I could see also in Poland 😋
Roxette are my mastermind subject, love these guys so much…Thank you for video, I am listening to Roxette every day
I'm from Western Australia and Roxette will always be my favourite band of all time
Greetings! ☺️
I do appreciate your review as I'm a massive Roxette fan but some info is not very well researched and not exactly correct but overall Good Job👍
I Call Your Name was a single from Pearls of Passion
I really liked the video and all the work that you put into it. Even though I grew up with Roxette and was a big fan I learned a lot from this video.
Thank you so much Camilla! What was your favorite song from them? Greetings from Poland ☺️
Nice job. I just want to add that in 1996 roxette released "Baladas en español" (Ballads in spanish). It was very successful in Spain and Latin America with songs like "Un día sin tí" (Spending my time), "Habla el corazón" (Listen to your heart) and "Soy una mujer" (Fading like a flower). They also recordered "Tu no me comprendes" (You don't understand me from 1995) but it didn't make the album. In 2021, Per released some previously unreleased songs, including "Tu no me comprendes". Here is the 1996 single "Un día sin tí", where Marie tries to hide her 2nd pregnancy :P czcams.com/video/MB7ZmnG3q3w/video.html
Thanks for the contribution, Sebastián!
I was at the concert in Warsaw in 2010. Thanx for the ride. I have moved at the end.
Really? How was the experience? You were privileged, certainly. 🤩
@@AlmostDon I don't want to disappoint you, Don
Oh no! Never disappointing, please
Miło Cię znowu widzieć
Dzięki Ann Fann, miło cię czytać! ☺️
No idea why Anyone didn't do well. It's such a beautiful song. People are stupid 🙄
I agree, I discovered it making the video, and it has really grown on me
Fantástic band
They are! What's your favorite song from them?
@@AlmostDon there are a lot of songs .like watercolours in the rain .things will never be the same
Ouh, I didn't know the first one, good discovery! Thanks
@@AlmostDon they have a thousands songs
Per is actually pronounced just like 'pair'. The only difference from English is that the 'r' is trilled with the tip of the tongue. Or if you say it in Per's own south-western dialect (halländska), you almost don't pronounce the 'r' at all. Maybe with just a small hint of a guttural 'r'.
Thank you! I really struggled there
Europe
Your accent is cute.😅
German EMI didnt want to release pearls of passion in germany. So germany said , mabey if you make a cool christas song it will be easier to release it in germany. When it was fininsh they didnt like it at all...
