I need to speak about this, the last season of Bake Off Argentina was FULL of controversy. Two weeks before the grand finale TWITTER discovered that the frontrunner up to that point was a PROFESIONAL baker and made it to TV and all of that, after everybody started digging into this girl's life, they found out she actually KILLED A MAN on a hit & run, thus, they were hating on her harder and harder. A week before the finale, it was leaked that Samanta (the hit & run girl) won the competition and Twitter was not having it so they made the producers REDO the finale to make the other guy the winner. Basically, Argentinian Twitter changed a winner from Bake Off.

okay, if we're gonna talk about australian versions superior to the original, does anyone remember "beauty and the geek"? i remember watching really shitty youtube uploads of the british and aussie versions in middle school but the australian one was always the wildest. it'd be a really good subject for the deep dive/analysis series because in hindsight it's just... so, so much. basically it was a house full of stereotypical "dumb blonde"/"bimbo" type women and socially awkward/"unattractive" (which was usually bs lmao) nerdy guys and they'd get paired up w each other, the idea being that the girls would help the guys find confidence and the guys would help the girls learn things. they also of course had makeover episodes for the guys who made it far enough and that was by far the best part of the show. there's just so much there to talk about and NOBODY ever mentions it
OH MAN, this bought back so many memories. I used to FROTH Beauty and the Geek. Was so sad when it didn't make a comeback

so late to this video but i highly recommend watching Korean reality show "the genius" for its incredible storylines and clever, original games that pit a bunch of the smartest people and celebrities against each other in a battle of wits and social skills. it's so highly addictive and i've never seen anything like it. basically an elevated, constantly evolving, among us-esque game that really does deserve more attention. selling sunset is also pretty darn good with all the drama between the realtors! bonus is getting to see huge mansions
