    Just a hint from working with vinyl with my Cricut. When taking off the parchment paper from the top, put it dough side down on the counter and slowly peel the parchment paper off at a low angle.

    I really liked the video and his showing how, and don't mind the cracks, but would have appreciated him putting the recipe somewhere for us. (Unless I just couldn't find it. Oops.)

      Same, I didn't catch how much vanilla to put in (or really much after the first part with the brown sugar and butter). Sigh. It looks good, though.

    I'm about to mess your world up I just found out the truth about figs.... Figs are not fruits but their actually flowers they're used by a particular type of insect and those little crispy bits that are in Fig Newtons are not seeds but they're dead bug carapace

      I would love a source for this statement that was anything other than a popular Facebook "fact"

    • @Grayald
      @Grayald Před 4 měsíci

      I'm about to mess up YOUR world. This is misinformation, And why you should do your own research when you see one of these posts on Facebook rather than taking it as fact and spreading it.
      The female fig wasp is quite small, and is dissolved by enzymes in the fig long before people eat it. Further, not all figs have had a wasp in it. If you take a fig, there's a better chance that there was never a wasp in it than if there was.
      The crunchy parts in the fig are in fact seeds.

      @user-zs6wo3yw4k Před 4 měsíci

      This is no longer true for many decades. There are self pollinating figs used now in confectionery and they Still have crispy bits that are not bugs at all. It was never bugs thats always been a myth

    • @user-zs6wo3yw4k

      @@DopaminedotSeek3rcolonthree
      Although it's true that "original" fig varieties require a wasp and yes the fig will have a dead bug inside, it is no longer the case for confectionery industry for many decades because of self pollinating figs.
      But at the same time,those crunchy bits has never ever been the bug. The bug essentially disappears completely. No crispy bits. Those were always just seeds
